They require all who enter to wear masks and social distance. Everyone is always very helpful. 0 Reply Jenn2 months agoJennI was teaching online and checking on students work progress on their Lines, Angles and Shapes Project. A student had told me that she did not draw any 3D shapes as she did not know how to draw those shapes. Before I could say anything, her classmate has kindly suggested that she could learn to draw by watching Youtube videos, practise drawing them on rough paper and when she feels it is good enough, she can draw it on her project paper! He shared that was how he learnt to draw his 3D shapes. 0 Reply Carmen3 months agoCarmenAn act of kindness I’ve been receiving recently is someone special showing me I am special by listening to me intently, making sure I am taken care of by what my needs are and actually go out their way to make me feel cared for 1 Reply Journey3 months agoJourneyMy friends around the world who are praying and making novenas for my allergies and sending me funny messages and keeping me entertained. 2 Reply Malag3 months agoMalagA gentle hug when I needed it and sometimes I don’t realise I needed it until it happened. 4 Reply Drew Blanton3 months agoDrew BlantonMy sister taking her three kids and me to Mass and people keeping others safe by wearing face masks. 4 Reply Lauryn3 months agoLaurynI was out hiking yesterday— you see this all the time on the trail… we are respectful , always say hello to others we pass., let faster hikers go ahead of us. we’re all out there getting exercise, appreciating nature. 6 Reply Don Jones3 months agoDon JonesThankfully, it is easy to find if you choose to look. It is in abundance – the smiles, the freely given assistance, picking up litter instead of stepping over it – and my all time favourite, stopping to pat a dog passing by. 9 Reply Hanfa Azad3 months agoHanfa AzadTomorrow my college is reopening and it is so cold...as i don't have a coat or jacket(i mean something according to fashion)and my mom was insisting me to wear that old coat and she was not ready to let me go to college without wearing coat...and you know what she said that why she wants me to wear the coat....??....she said that whein i will wear the coat instead of a sweater, she will be much content that i am safe from cold and she will not be worried about me at home...so i noticed that she e...Tomorrow my college is reopening and it is so cold…as i don’t have a coat or jacket(i mean something according to fashion)and my mom was insisting me to wear that old coat and she was not ready to let me go to college without wearing coat…and you know what she said that why she wants me to wear the coat….??….she said that whein i will wear the coat instead of a sweater, she will be much content that i am safe from cold and she will not be worried about me at home…so i noticed that she even doesn’t want me to suffer in cold…she loves me so much….and i love her too and also i love my father and sister💖 Read More9 Reply KC3 months agoKCTwo nights ago, I walked home from the grocery store in the dark. At home, I realized my wallet was gone. Retracing my steps, it was nowhere to be seen. Yesterday morning there was a loud knock on the door. Retracing my steps, it was nowhere to be seen. Yesterday morning there was a loud knock on the door. Two women, the closest one wearing a mask, asked if I was KC. Had I lost something? I answered yes, and described the wallet. They were running, found it across the street, and came to return it. Everything was there – credit cards, drivers licence, money. They would accept nothing in return, and hoped someone would do the same for them. I would, of course. I will return to that experience in the coming days, with gratitude and hope. There are so many good people in our beautiful world. 🙏🏻 Read More10 Reply Carol3 months agoCarol. I was blessed just this last Thursday while shopping for groceries. I got a bit dizzy and the only checkout open was the self-help one. The clerk overseeing the area, helped me ring up and sack my groceries and loaded them into my cart. He was so gracious and so concerned. Thankfully, with his help, I managed to get what I needed and made it home. 9 Reply Craig K3 months agoCraig KWe have a food pantry at my church. My mother in law volunteers there. One day, a man was passing out $100 bills to the clients. As the story goes, the man inherited some money from a relative and wanted to “pay it forward”. Also, I have witnessed customers paying for others at the coffee shop drive thru. Kindnesses are happening all the time. Let’s notice them and broadcast them to the world … to drown out the bad! 12 Reply Rosemary3 months agoRosemaryA few days ago, I mentioned to John, my beloved, a favorite food I used to enjoy years ago. Today, when he came home from buying the newspapers, in his hand he held a gift… my favorite food! Such an act of love, and I am so grateful… 10 Reply Javier Visionquest3 months agoJavier VisionquestAn Elder came through my queue yesterday with encouraging news. She explained to me, that at 50, my life was only just beginning! 11 Reply Antoinette3 months agoAntoinetteI see acts of kindness everywhere I look. A mother attending her children, a neighbor helping out another neighbor, families helping families, friends helping friends, and so called “ strangers“ assisting all of us! Kindness is everywhere we look and I’m so grateful. 7 Reply devy3 months agodevyPeople passing me on the street saying hello, my doctors and dentist’s office staff still smile and ask me how I am doing, people wearing masks and practicing social distance, friends of mine who reciprocate kindness who remark on my positive social media posts or who thank me for taking time contacting them by phone or messenger to check up on them, my spouse who during my own personal struggles listens to me with open ears and provides comfort. 6 Reply Kevin3 months agoKevinA week ago, I, and a cadre of like-minded Walmart shoppers descended on the store precisely when it opened up at 6 AM, an early timeslot reserved for “seniors” in the age of Covid. We trickle in, some wielding canes or other ravages of time, and grab our carriages for our pre-dawn mini mission. Like everyone else I plot my course and disappear into this “superstore” of endless isles, until I slow my march behind a gentleman, clearly laboring, whose carriage doubled as a tool for hauling food, while providing balance as he walked. One leg jutted sideways wildly with each step, so much so that his carriage wobbled until his other leg brought the whole maneuver back in line. Seeing me, the gentleman paused, then moved aside saying, “The stroke left me with this bum leg that slows me down. You go fella, and have a wonderful day.” I paused, alongside the gentleman, and we talked and laughed, two old ‘buggers’ in isle five at 6:05, explaining why we both took carriages instead of baskets for what would be a handful of items that other people could carry easily. The gentleman’s act of kindness and comradery remains upon my heart, a gift, for paying forward, when the moment comes. He does not have to do this, and myself and my main buyer appreciate it so much. Especially the removal of the pallet – those suckers are heavy! 6 Reply Michele3 months agoMicheleThe person I replaced at my work when I was hired passed away a few days ago. The amount of emails reflecting what type of person she was, long term employee, her character, and some fun stories, was a beautiful act of kindness to see. The loyalty to someone who no longer worked there remained. I definitely have from the start felt like this company is a family. 8 Reply Holly in Ohio3 months agoHolly in OhioWouldn’t it be nice if we always treated coworkers like family… thank you for sharing. 4 Reply Lioness3 months agoLionessMy friend called me, she had received a gift in the post, anonymously. The act of someone sending her something out of the kindness of their heart and not wishing for recognition is heartwarming. 7 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
