Thanx for all you do and don’t; have a blessed day ? reality 2 Reply Christina5 months agoChristinaThe people who manage somehow to love me more than I love them. 3 Reply Ineke Bennink5 months agoIneke BenninkIeder mens die vol levenslust is, jong of oud! 2 Reply Michele5 months agoMicheletranslation: Every person who is full of zest for life, young or old! 0 Reply Malag5 months agoMalagMy dad although he’s long passed on. And that changes daily, if not hourly. State of awe over the wonders of others especially those who modal values of worth. Starting with babies. 2 Reply Hot Sauce5 months agoHot SauceKrishna, the Buddha, Laozi, Kongzi, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Guru Nanak, Zarathustra, and Baha’u’llah inspire me because they help me learn how to live ethically/wisely and to love God, others, and myself better. 2 Reply Ose5 months agoOseToday, a tender and soft inner state seemed to have found its expression to the outside, when a stranger who passed by almost incidentally said in a kind, soft way : "Hello beauty!" It felt like a soft, caressing breeze, and we both went on inspired and obviously tenderly moved. Humbly and gratefully, inspired by an unexpected, kind soul´s touch, almost incidentally, it softly carried me through the day, open for whatever the day would hold. Now it is night time, and I still feel inspired, gratefully sharing this beautiful little moment with you all. In my life, there have only been a couple who have done that in a profound, transformative sense. There have also been many who have made my soul smile. 2 Reply Melissa5 months agoMelissaMy grandmothers who loved us unconditionally all though our lives as their grandchildren. This gave us a strong foundation that we were loved and we could carry on through any hard time. Plus they laughed and smiled at us often. 3 Reply amacord5 months agoamacordJustice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. My focus today: Hildegard, the mystic & prophet who helps me to see all kinds of connections & steps to take in order to enhance my connection to God & all living beings. And: Becca Stevens, Episcopal priest who passionately teaches the world how to lovingly respond to sex trafficking, prostitution & all the pieces that go along with that. We can all be advocates for the disenfranchised. 3 Reply Carol5 months agoCarolTrish, Richard Rohr has a great meditation today (Aug 3) on Hildegard. Google “Center for Action and Contemplation” then click on Daily Meditations. 1 Reply Trish5 months agoTrishI adore RR & think the world would be a better place if more people did. I am so delighted that he is highlighting Hildegard & love learning more about her. I have been inspired by those who have given me living examples of how to age well. As Kevin says in his reflection, the list of those who inspire me is endless. All of you inspire me daily by your reflections. Thank you! 7 Reply Howie Geib5 months agoHowie GeibI am surrounded by people, places, and critters in countless numbers that constantly provoke my thoughts and creativity. Of course there have been teachers, artists and mentors. Teammates, coaches, bosses and co-workers who I have been encouraged by and want to emulate. Yet, in these latest days of my life I no longer sense the need to seek out inspiration in the works and formal sources, although I do seek them out. Here on this simple thread each morning with the company you provide I find it....I am surrounded by people, places, and critters in countless numbers that constantly provoke my thoughts and creativity. The way the sun hits the side of the houses at dawn bring a flood of memories of people long lost for whatever reason, who in that instant of clear morning light appear as if they are right here. The trick is to be teachable. By manifesting my inner student with each breath all is well. But I am trying to set an positive example . Yes others have influenced me in a positive way to guide my reflections on what has transpired or is transpiring. I’m learning to love myself. Loving oneself is not being narcissistic or being selfish. . Love is a feeling that must originate inside and go out and not the other direction. 8 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
