I use to long to lay with a man at night to have to hold me. I realized through my daughter that I actually was not always wanting something romantic. The type of comfort I was looking to give and receive I have been able to have with my daughter. We lay in bed and hold each other. It’s so healing to my heart. She reminds me how important it is to be present, especially when she comes home and wants to tell me about her day and show me everything she drew at school. She inspires me to live. That’s important because my depression doesn’t. When I see my daughter she reminds me of the gift of life. I cared for her for so long and I don’t want my depressed states to take moments away from her where I could be loving on her. Please dont judge :))))))) 3 Reply Maeve3 weeks agoMaeveMy energetic , passionate and sometimes sensible sister, for one! She throws herself into whatever she is doing, whether it is caring for her family and for people around her, or traveling in their RV to explore the country. She is a “rolling stone that gathers no moss”, and though I could not manage all the activities and projects she takes on, I admire her determination and willingness to meet life’s challenges as well as opportunities. 4 Reply Don Jones3 weeks agoDon JonesSie machen 2 Reply Kat3 weeks agoKatJohn Friend brought me to the spiritual path. 3 Reply pkr3 weeks agopkrMy beautiful daughter….she is simply amazing. Strong, hardworking, smart, kind, compassionate, aware, awake, spiritual, “pretty as a picture”……… I am blessed.❤️. 4 Reply Hermann-Josef3 weeks agoHermann-JosefAll those whose thoughts are fresh and creative. whose deeds are based on doing good to the whole. All who know how to be happy. all those who know why they are here. All those who do not give up and try their best (as my daughter is doing ). Any tree is inspiring in giving oxygen and shade without thinking to be a giver 5 Reply Elaine3 weeks agoElaineA dear friend with an awful life diminishing condition faces her reality through fear and fatigue. Still she chooses as much as she can to be grateful and positive. There’s a nobility about her which is inspiring. 5 Reply Charlie T3 weeks agoCharlie TI am inspired by anyone that has found kindness and forgiveness after struggle and hardships. People who have chosen to softened their heart instead of hardening their heart. I am also inspired by hard working people, that can still be kind, even in the face of indifference. The people I see at 5am, driving to work or out in the Vinyard. The “essential” workers that somehow didn’t get bitter or give up completely during a pandemic that added another layer to an already difficult life. 3 Reply Love Abundantly2 weeks agoLove AbundantlyI really felt this submission on my core. Thanks for sharing Charlie. Softening of the heart is so beautiful. 1 Reply Chester3 weeks agoChesterThe GPS navigation voice that helps me navigate to where I want to go regardless of the number of wrong turns that I make – always patiently and reliably giving me the best way from wherever I am in the moment, then adjusting again without hesitation. 3 Reply Mica3 weeks agoMicaThat’s funny, Chester – sometimes it seems to me as if mine is getting a bit cross, but obviously that’s my imagination 🙂 2 Reply Patricia3 weeks agoPatriciaPeople who step forward in a time of crisis and need. People who always have a kind word for others. People with a sense of humor to meet the challenges of their days. I’m thinking of some of those people and their names now… blessedly, too numerous to list. 4 Reply Carol3 weeks agoCarolMy ancestors. I frequently claim their strength and resilience–especially the women whose lives were much harder and more challenging than mine. 4 Reply Holly in Ohio3 weeks agoHolly in OhioMy mind immediately flew to “ordinary” women, the unsung heroes of everyday life. Every once in a while, well actually, quite often, I meet someone and think, “I want to be more like them when I “grow up.” Such was the case yesterday, as I watched Che trying to learn how to use a spinning wheel, and Karen, teaching her. 5 Reply Ana Maria3 weeks agoAna MariaJUst beautiful!! I have many friends that make think I want to be them when I grow up. I just turned 65 years old and I still find so many women, young women that are so inspiring. As I plan to retire in June I know I am walking away from my working life leaving so many wonderful women in man doing an amazing work to make this worl a better place to live. I am grateful for all of them. My two children included! 3 Reply Holly in Ohio3 weeks agoHolly in Ohio😊 Thank you, Ana Maria. This made me smile! 1 Reply Mary Pat3 weeks agoMary PatMy children and grandchildren. I see them close-up, and am continually inspired by their energy(where did mine go?), and their ability to continue to carry on with things even though they run into road blocks. 3 Reply Ana Maria3 weeks agoAna MariaBeautiful Mary Pat! I feel the same way about my two adult children. I will be a grandma in July, I am so looking forward to the gift of life and helping to raise another human being. I feel so blessed for this opportunity. 1 Reply Mary Pat2 weeks agoMary PatOH, how wonderful! Grandchildren are such a gift….many happy years are ahead for you. I am really happy for you, and know you will enjoy every minute. 0 Reply Laura3 weeks agoLauraThe human capacity for resilience inspires me. 4 Reply Ose3 weeks agoOseLike Antoinette, I would say God, and everywhere and everyone where His light is sparkling, giving inspiration to others as well as to my own light to sparkle also, and possibly shine to all around, paying it forward. 5 Reply Marnie Jackson3 weeks agoMarnie JacksonMy friend Nancy – who always tries to do the best thing from her values. It is inspiring to watch 2 Reply EJP3 weeks agoEJPMy amazing, beautiful grandchildren. 5 Reply Kevin3 weeks agoKevinOur dog, Gracie, inspires me. She’s ten-years old and blind, greets each new day with a wagging tail and genuine excitement of what each new hour may bring. She’s more graceful going up and down stairs than I ever was, and there are moments when I am convinced that she “sees” what matters more than I do. 9 Reply pkr3 weeks agopkrSweet……❤️ 2 Reply Michele3 weeks agoMicheleThe participants on this website inspires me, family, friends, many. 6 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
