Also that we minimise injustices in the world. I’m usually climate focused in what I do and consume, but not always effective. I could do more in this and also to support charities. And most importantly we need to vote for the vision we want because it is bigger than any of us. I’m grateful I live in a society where I can vote. . 2 Reply Ada1 year agoAdaBeing content. 1 Reply Elaine1 year agoElaineA vision of economic equity which means addressing the gaping wealth gap. Too few have way too much. This can be achieved fairly by taxing wealth as well as income and by enhancing progressive income tax policies. My role is to be informed and active politically. 2 Reply Present Moment1 year agoPresent MomentThe electricity went out for an evening in my entire Mexican neighborhood. What a gift! Peace and quiet. The sounds of birds, insects, the plants themselves. And the STARS! The beauty of Mexico pre-industrial revolution. I envision sharing blackouts and power usage with all the world on an “as needed” schedule, allowing the natural systems to heal. 3 Reply Kristi1 year agoKristiI see happiness and peace for more people. The first step I’ll take to work on this vision is to find happiness and peace within myself. My hope is that my happiness and peace will encourage others to find their happiness and peace. This is a very small dent, but it would be a step in the right direction!! 3 Reply Ose1 year agoOseLiving with one another lovingly and peacefully. Being of support for people in need, allowing to be vulnerable and kindness I hope to have offered today and every day as a contribution to help thriving awareness and so helping leading to love and peace. 1 Reply Don Jones1 year agoDon JonesIn all honesty, I think I still have a lot of work to do here without creating visions for the rest of the world. Maybe once I blossom. 1 Reply Cathie1 year agoCathieVisions for the world is a big order:) I guess I would like to see continued freedom tempered with mercy, forgiveness and a conscience! Mandating rules work in like-minded communities. The world community is not at present…like-minded. And since we are all different – maybe the world will never be like-minded…but we can all think about how our actions affect others. To help realize this vision, I can meet those in need with compassion and assistance, and those who harm me or the community ...Visions for the world is a big order:) I guess I would like to see continued freedom tempered with mercy, forgiveness and a conscience! I can’t control what others do, but I can make an effort to view life in a more positive light. 4 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaVery wise words Carol . 1 Reply Melissa1 year agoMelissaThe quote “What would love have me do today?” is still the one that guides me to take steps whenever an opportunity shows itself. When I was young I thought I could save the world. That was just youthful ego and innocence. Now with some age and wisdom I know every little bit of help for others, nature and the planet is what I can do. Small steps but they do help I hope. 1 Reply Hanfa Azad1 year agoHanfa AzadI want the world to be a place where we all cooperate with each other....and love each other....and we can only love others when we stoo thinking them as perfect because humans seek perfection and there is no perfection in humans....so it's a waste of time to seek for perfect love in humans.....if we will seek in humans we will get disappointed and obviously greater our expectations are....greater is the hurt...so i just want to first love my lord Allah because there is none perfect except Him.....I want the world to be a place where we all cooperate with each other….and love each other….and we can only love others when we stoo thinking them as perfect because humans seek perfection and there is no perfection in humans….so it’s a waste of time to seek for perfect love in humans…..if we will seek in humans we will get disappointed and obviously greater our expectations are….greater is the hurt…so i just want to first love my lord Allah because there is none perfect except Him…..and then as i will have no expectations or less expectations with humans so i will feel it easy to love them….to love mankind without any differences. And i am trying to first know myself and return back to my fitrah. My 97 year old uncle in a telephone conversation this week said, We’ve been fighting each other every since we crawled out of the trees.” “Yes,” I thought, “Even before we developed language, we were prone to hurt and maim each other. The “Us and Them” mentality has ruled our species. We glory in competition instead of cooperation. We use our words to lie and to assassinate the character of others. Only a willingness to own our thoughts, our words and our deeds will bring the growth needed to choose love instead of fear as our motivator. The greatest step we can take is to commit to our own growth in self awareness. It’s an inside job. Until we as a species make it our priority, both we and Mother Earth will languish. This quote from Buddhist teacher Larry Ward comes to mind: “I am a drop in the ocean, but I’m also the ocean. I’m a drop in America, but I’m also America. Every pain, every confusion, every good and every bad and ugly of America is in me. And as I transform myself and heal and take care of myself, I’m very conscious that I’m healing and transforming and taking care of America. I say this for American cynics, but this is also true globally. It’s for real.” Until we make “knowing ourselves” a priority, we will continue to react in fear instead of respond in love. The biggest battle is within. I envision us capable of the compassion required. Read More3 Reply pkr1 year agopkrRespect for all living beings. Moving away from “service to self” to “service to others”. A world where greed is not the norm. A world where lies & deceit is not the norm. A world where love, kindness & doing the right thing is the norm. I try to “practice what I preach”, in my life. Some days more successful than others. Peace to All. 7 Reply MelaD1 year agoMelaDIt would be lovely if we could hear each other without the veil, really listen to each other. ‘Both/and’ conversations rather than ‘this or that’, or ‘my way or the highway’. What we could learn! My steps are to actively listen, be present with an open mind and open heart. Not sure what that’ll do, but I’m willing to keep on. 6 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioIsn’t today’s quote by Martin Luther King, Jr. just perfect for the U.S. in this moment? For the question, I wish to help more people step onto the path of lowering carbon footprint and healing environments, helping them in ways that empower and help them personally. 4 Reply GratefulOne1 year agoGratefulOneLove.
