Especially in these times of populaces getting pandemiced; which will be the rest of the existence of humanity, in all probability. We just have fun, tease each other and talk about food most of the time. But yesterday, I just said I love you both a lot without any reason(for my sudden gush of emotions). They laughed and I joined later and we all laughed. It felt so good to say so. Its strange actually but I did feel great. I must say this more often. 4 Reply Hot Sauce8 months agoHot SauceSince I’ve been home, I’ve spent a lot of time with my cat, who loves to cuddle with me on my lap. I’ve been giving him lots of petting and kisses. He’s going to be very upset when we return to normal society again! He’s like, “What’s the big deal?! I don’t know what Covid 19 is, but I think I like it because I get lots of love and attention when the family is at home!” 5 Reply Jess8 months agoJessI have actually been really close to my family and friends during this time. Today both my mom and best friend called me and it was so great to hear from them and give and receive loving energy between us. 4 Reply Melissa8 months agoMelissaMy husband who has been in this isolation with his patience. The gorgeous oak trees that surround us, the garden that keeps me centered. The Quail fathers who guard their families from harm. Today 15 babies about two inches tall. Quail dads are amazing. 3 Reply Debra8 months agoDebraGod, my dog, the yellow magnolia tree, and the steady rain watering my gardens. 4 Reply Nancy Walton-House8 months agoNancy Walton-HouseI expressed my love to my niece and nephew who had birthdays this past week. I wrote them notes on Facebook. Calling them would have been better. I told a dear friend I love her in a phone call a week ago. I need to tell my husband I love him much more frequently and tell other family members and friends too. I am curious about why I don’t tell others more frequently that I love them. That’s a helpful reflection for me. 3 Reply TeriB8 months agoTeriBMy Aunt, and Godmother. I spoke with her yesterday, we caught up and reminisced about times we were together. 3 Reply slawrence8 months agoslawrenceMy family, my dad who is in the hospital. But the biggest challenge right now is this PUPPY! I didn't ask for her, my husband brought her home and manages to be gone all the time so I have to train her. I've always taken in older dogs and, ok, I did say once that it would be nice to have a dog that wasn't traumatized by the time we got it. I’ve always taken in older dogs and, ok, I did say once that it would be nice to have a dog that wasn’t traumatized by the time we got it. I have a goal, literally a picture in my head that my boss showed me once of his dog, which had “I LOVE YOU!” in her eyes. They were so sparkly and full of joy at seeing her master. I want to see that in this puppy’s eyes and instead I have to keep telling her don’t nip, don’t bite, don’t chase the cat, no, no, no, no, DON’T POOP IN THE HOUSE! I do try to stop sometimes and say you’re a good dog, such a pretty dog, and I love you. I need to say it more. Read More3 Reply Gerry8 months agoGerryA direct “I love you,” often to my children is almost automatic. But I think, personally, sometimes miss the cues, the words, little acts, that express love to me. Likewise, I often forget, am not conscious of small acts, or things I say, that are expressing my love to another. Being aware and open, recognizing love when it is given, and when it is received in one’s by actions as well as words. 3 Reply Debra8 months agoDebraMy kitty, Mistletoes, and my beloved, Sissy, who I miss beyond words, and my spiritual community that I stay in contact through online services and Zoom calls. Nothing beats saying ‘I love you’ in person though. 4 Reply slawrence8 months agoslawrenceI would love to hear your thoughts on how to love my puppy better. 1 Reply Debra8 months agoDebraWhat’s your puppy’s name.? Tell your puppy over and over again how much you love him or her. Blow on his or her nose. Dogs typically nip at the air when you do this it excites them so much. Just be there. 4 Reply slawrence8 months agoslawrenceHer name “change from me to we” and so WE named her Tinkerbell and we are in this together. Thank you for your beautiful answer. <3 <3 2 Reply Lawrence Ramos8 months agoLawrence RamosI have not been as expressive but my language is giving. I gave a cake to Mabel, made time for Sir Jun to Zoom on his birthday, checked on Kuya, and Onyoy/Lhen. 4 Reply slawrence8 months agoslawrenceMy language is giving too! It’s beautiful that you give of your time and attention. I tend to give out of my finances in lieu of showing up. Bless you for showing up. 1 Reply Mark Piper8 months agoMark PiperNot as many folks as I ought, and while it may come off as perfunctory or proforma, certainly I’ve expressed love to my children and wife. 3 Reply pkr8 months agopkrMy beautiful daughter, my mom, husband and my brother, and my cat Daisy. Will call the vet first thing when they open. I wish my love was all that was needed to soothe sometimes! 3 Reply sparrow8 months agosparrow. . . a prayer for your puppy, dear Rachel . . . 1 Reply Pilgrim8 months agoPilgrimI will be praying for your puppy, Rachel. 3 Reply Rachel8 months agoRachelThank you so much Pilgrim. It is Lyme and he is now on medication. Poor little guy. The cat: my daily brushing and took her outside. My sister and my niece: had Facetime dinner with them, and my niece’s little toddler. I don’t say “I love you” very easily…. 3 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
