When i woke up, there was fresh snow all around, which painted to a magical landscape and when the sun came out, this quiet and peaceful area was reflecting the sunlight and gave even more joy to our hearts. Such a quiet beauty all over at a place where we met and celebrated life together with dear friends for a few days in wonderful encounter and love. Thank you, life, and thank you, dear kindred hearts.

The sun just beginning to shed it’s light on the predawn sky.
My family gathering from all around to plant trees in our new food forest today.
The sense of calm and peace I feel today after a tumultuous day yesterday.

Our “Dr. Seuss tree” (rounded top, clipped straight across the bottom to keep it from trailing on the deck it stands next to) is blooming from the ends of the branches up, with white petals that snow onto the deck. Mosses grow on the trunk and more recently some baby ferns sprouted out too. It’s beautiful and funny at the same time, and I wonder about the processes that make it bloom from the ends up. (A different kind of wonder in addition to the wonderfulness of spring)

Our cat is curled up sleeping contentedly on my lap. Sometimes he’s a pain, jumping up on the counters and getting mad when I correct him. I get the occasional claw in the hand when we have differences of opinion. Right now he’s warm and utterly relaxed and so soft to the touch. I know it’s all instinct inside that little head but the total changes from one minute to the next are a wonder.

We’re almost done with a major home remodeling project that removed walls, opened up space, updated the kitchen a lot, changed flooring and more. We put a larger window in the kitchen and I love the wider view of nature. It feels like a whole new house and that brings a sense of wonder when I look around. It will be even more wonder-full when the project is done and we don’t have contractor supplies sitting on the new kitchen island, or things sitting out because we’re waiting for cabinetry work to be complete. Cooking in this kitchen will be wondrous! (I’ve done a bit but can’t unleash my full processes until I have everything put away where it needs to be.)

Three things that bring me a sense of wonder at this point in time, our red tabby cat Louis, the little forest of trees outside my window, a woodpecker in the distance. All amazing….❤️

Looking around me, 3 things that bring me a sense of wonder are:
    1. I change my computer’s desktop wallpaper monthly – right now I have a beautiful bunny for Easter – it is so colorful with flowers and eggs. I wonder how long it took the artist to draw it.
    2. I have a small space heater in my office – I wonder about it, for it being small, it works great.
    3. My neighborhood peacocks – I can look out my window and always see them. I wonder about them.
Happy Sunday everyone! There are some awesome National Days today – https://nationaltoday.com/today/ National Cheese Steak Day yessss

The black squirrel has returned out back to one of the snowy, leafless bushes to do acrobatics. Always fun to watch. Two large evergreen trees filled with snow and birds. I love to hear their various songs. Plants popping up through the unexpected snow of a couple days ago. Brrr! I am ready for Spring!
