I can do this by my posts I put on social media and my continued support of organizations such as Amnesty International and helping my friends by being there for them when needed. By doing so, care spreads to others which in turn spreads to more people. 5 Reply sunnypatti10 months agosunnypattiI pray for the health of the world and all the people on it daily, but I’m in agreeance with other friends here who have said that care starts with the self. If we aren’t taking care of ourselves, we can’t really take care of anything/anyone else. The “cares of the world” are many, and just trying to think about all of them can be a bit overwhelming. I will say that I am conscious of my eco-footprint and take effort to recycling, reusing what I can, and spending my money wisely. 6 Reply Lee Anne10 months agoLee AnneWhen I am non-judgemental, loving, and kind toward myself, then I reflect these things to others in a smile, a helping hand, and a kind word…one person at a time. I cannot cure, or take care of, this wounded world. 5 Reply Michele10 months agoMicheleI try to be eco-friendly – I switched to not using the plastic grocery bags and use the cloth ones. I also have a bamboo set of fork/spoon/knife so I’m not using plastic ones. I donate to organizations that I care about when I can. First and foremost, ya gotta care for yourself first then worry about the rest of the world. Happy National Love People Day everyone:) 4 Reply Mica10 months agoMicaThanks, Michele – “National Love People Day, held annually on September 30. Many religions and non-religious spiritual practices center on the idea of giving love wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return.” 2 Reply sunnypatti10 months agosunnypattiI never heard of National Love People Day, but I LOVE it! 3 Reply Kevin10 months agoKevinTo be honest, I am doing all that I can, with my heart, energy and available resources at this stage of my life. But again, why are we always measuring our value as a global citizen by how much ‘more’ we can do or give? These lines come to mind: "But where was I to start? The world is so vast, I better start with the country I knew best, my own. But my country is so very large, I better start with my town. But my town, too, is large, I had better start with my street. Thank you for remembering this…..I had forgotten. 3 Reply Kevin10 months agoKevinThank you, Mary Pat. I keep an old notebook stuffed with ditties like this and as soon as I begin to write my response I remembered that passage by Eli Wiesel. (what a man, what a life, and an example of living through horrendous adversity and yet coming out the other side with so much to give back to humanity.) 2 Reply Michele10 months agoMicheleExactly! 2 Reply Christine10 months agoChristineSorry, but I can not combine “care, caring”, with some kind of measurement. I can not combine it with “more, fully or less.” This is for me a difficult question. I Just care. 9 Reply Mica10 months agoMicaThank you, Christine, for your perspective on the question[s] 🤗😘🙃 3 Reply Cintia10 months agoCintiaI just care 🙂 4 Reply Kevin10 months agoKevinAgree fully, Christine. “I just care” says everything. 5 Reply « Previous 1 2 My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
