I need to start working on some visions! 3 Reply Mike1 year agoMikeMy vision, if I could call it that, is pretty basic: to replace my self-centered self with one that loves my neighbor. But I haven’t been pursuing it at all for several years due to cherished angers and resentments. I hope to return to the Bible, to prayer, and to time spent in meditation to correct this omission. 2 Reply Kristi1 year agoKristiI have two visions I’m working towards. I am working to be healthy and to have muscle- I work out a lot and have most days (not all) become more mindful of my food choices. I’d also like to become a public speaker to share my knowledge about raising a child with a vision loss. My first step is to speak on a podcast- if that goes well then I’ll determine my next step! 6 Reply Dusty Su1 year agoDusty SuPrepare: research, history, laws, people’s needs, projects slowly add goods to my departure bag learn the new language (s) make sure I end off well here and leave a trail of love and laughter and have no regrets by the time I depart 6 Reply Don Jones1 year agoDon JonesStop thinking about it and just start doing. 5 Reply Hot Sauce1 year agoHot SauceI envision myself having some clarity about my questions related to the afterlife, forgiveness, and the Law of Attraction soon. One step I can take towards this vision coming true is to begin the reading and research now. 4 Reply KC1 year agoKCThree things. Baby steps I hope! One is to express my vision on a vision board, paper, computer - whatever it takes. For the visual, create a mandala and pin it to the wall. That and / or a whiteboard for stuff as it evolves. Also commit to words, intentions, goals. Finally, keep culling and organizing a ton of stuff from the past. ‘You want to fly? Perhaps so. Realism dictates otherwise. Once again I watched Tom Foolery – A Great Realisation on youtube. It is a four minute clip, but so so true. Will the world learn from the present situation ? 2 Reply Linda1 year agoLindaI have a patch of ground that doesn’t get enough sun to plant vegies. I have looked at it over the years, wondering what to do with it. Maybe I just need to plant some wildflowers back there. I will look into this today. 4 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioLinda, my husband is from Scotland. Scotland doesn't get a lot of sunlight, it rains 250 days out of the year (I just looked that up!) and yet they are fabulous gardeners, even of vegetables. For every place on earth there are plants and foods that grow. There are many vegetables that will grow with less light or filtered sun, or even in the shade of a house, including most of the vegetables that are "cool-loving." For every place on earth there are plants and foods that grow. There are many vegetables that will grow with less light or filtered sun, or even in the shade of a house, including most of the vegetables that are “cool-loving.” Things like lettuce, spinach, kale, collards, radishes, Swiss Chard, arugula, asparagus, beets, onions, leeks, broccoli, bok choi, Brussels sprouts, celery, cauliflower, garlic, shallots, turnips, rutabaga, peas, kohlrabi, potatoes, rhubarb. Some of those won’t even grow in full sun during summer, as it is too hot and dry for them, so that’s when I grow lettuce on the north side of my house in full shade. And some herbs will work for you, too… parsley, thyme, cilantro, mints, marjoram come to mind. The ones you might have difficulty growing would be the “heat loving” plants, most of which produce large fruits above ground, like tomatoes, peppers, melons, squash, eggplant, corn, and so forth… but even still, if you have a small sunny spot, even if it’s on your driveway, you might try a cherry tomato plant in a really large pot just to see if it works. And if it does, then maybe try a regular tomato the next year. So if it’s a root crop or a leaf crop you should be fine, and if it isn’t, well, give it a go, maybe it will work anyway. Good luck! I can accept what’s hurting me and do my best to move on. 5 Reply Chester1 year agoChesterMy vision in my daily work is to promote a world where people are clear-minded, connected with each other, and meaningfully contributing. One step I can take is done – to succinctly describe this vision; next is to get back to the daily work. 7 Reply Javier Visionquest1 year agoJavier VisionquestHere are the echoes of a vision currently unfolding for a group of investors I’m with, wrestling a few dozen acres of fallow farmland and valuable watershed along a tributary of the Rappahannock River from the grasping hands of developers, with an aim toward environmental conservation, visions of a community of tiny houses, and onsite amenities such as a community kitchen, and a spiritual retreat and spa. 3 Reply Emily1 year agoEmilyA step I can take towards a vision I have been holding is writing down my vision as goals and then working on conquering each vision one at a time. I could also write down my visions in my journal and create a vision board as well that I could tape to my wall. 5 Reply KC1 year agoKCEmily, Thanks for your reflection. I need to do much the same. Very best wishes for expressing your vision and goals on computer, paper, a whiteboard, the wall – whatever suits! 🙏🏻 Warmly, KC 3 Reply Cathie1 year agoCathieThere are a few steps I would need to take to move toward a vision of mine. Having some roadmap or in Ed's language, some choreography to follow, for me, is helpful. Then once the vision has moved from thought to plan, the truly hardest for me is taking that 1st step toward making the dream or vision a reality. Once that 1st step is taken, the rest seems to unfold. So today, I will take a risk and do something to move toward that vision held in my heart - to set the vision in motion. The leader of the ring is the Logos, who comes forth from silence. The dancing is the Holy Spirit. In the Holy Spirit we dance back to the origin, the father. I find that image very inspiring and beautiful.” And so do I find this “inspiring”…it is common to refer the “life” as the great teacher …but the word “Life..is rather simplistic when used to point to the “Grand Immensity Sounded” . Br David, is quoting the Essene Fathers ..who are identifying “God” as “Life” as the “Holy Trinity” as the three aspects of Life. Three “teachers” together dancing into one Great Final teaching.” “The “step” I can make is perfecting that “dance” so that the “Kingdoms of the Heavens” can be fully within my BE-ing-ness. The step sounds so mundane… and it is. But every garden is hope. I garden for healthy food. I garden for a healthy planet – to shift our way of producing food to a way that doesn’t use chemicals or hurts the earth. I garden to do my little bit for reducing carbon emissions to fight climate change and save lives (reducing carbon emissions DOES save lives and property), and I do it to get fresh air in my lungs, to get earth under my fingernails, to taste the earth in a vegetable, to see a little tree frog or praying mantis or other critter in the garden… even the bunny that munches on vegetables and hides under large squash leaves… I do it for me. So today I am planting tomato seeds that I saved from last year’s tomato garden. I’ll be starting them indoors. I swear I can already taste the sun in my mind. That’s what a real tomato tastes like… pure sunshine on a beautiful summer’s day. My vision is the rhythm of the gardening seasons. Early spring, the soil is hard and frosty, and you start cleanup, start plants indoors. Late spring you get garden beds forked, shaped, planted, your shoulders ache after a day of moving fresh-smelling compost. Late spring and early summer you start to get crops. The first pea is always a thrill…. on the vine snacking! Then the heat comes, the watering, mulching, trellising, keeping up with pruning and tying tomatoes, looking for pests. Then before you know it you’re planting again for fall and winter and trying to keep up with harvesting and canning at the same time, pulling spent plants and watching out for cold and frost. Then you’re winding down to a slower time, trying to keep things going as long as you can. Covering a few things to eke out a couple more weeks. Last year I was pulling unprotected turnips in December for dinner… yum. What fun. I’m connected to all the gardeners, everywhere and over centuries. The vision is quite simple, the actions mundane, the results beautifully rewarding.
