My muscles! I forget how important they are to get me to the places I want to be, receive and give food, to talk and chew, and read and gain information.

I appreciate the varied previous answers. We all have embodied experiences. I am a dancer, and my left big toe has some problems. I completely forget about it, and then it flares up and reminds me to have a daily routine of loving it. I also have a large scar from a terrible surgical nightmare a few years ago. I’ve shared how I am working on the dialogue with that recent addition to my body. I am letting it be more welcome now. It reminds me that I survived. Have a beautiful weekend, everyone.

Living with a chronic neurological illness since I was 15 years old has made me very aware of my body. I have been very frustrated with it when I couldn’t do what others were doing and I felt left out. When things have been very bad and I have been in a lot of pain I have even wanted to leave this body but somehow here I still am. There are quite a few bits of me that don’t work as well as they did when I was younger and that makes me aware of them and appreciate them more. Despite all of the problems I have had with this body it has given me 74 years of life on this planet so far and 3 wonderful children. As I type this I am so grateful that I can still see the keyboard and my fingers are able to tap away at the keys. I can see a beautiful sunny day, flowers, trees and birds outside and I am safe and comfortable and feel blessed.
Wishing you all a Happy Saturday 🥰

As the ageing process continues on my form that has lived a life out of doors, I appreciate it more at 66 pushing 67 than I would have at 26 pushing 27. It has carried my essence to many places. From picking flowers and bulbs on a flower farm overlooking the Pacific in McKinleyville, CA, to the mountains of New Mexico and Southern Colorado herding sheep and later gathering cows, calves and bulls. From irrigating crops to harvesting them, planting, nurturing and harvesting vegetable gardens. It has gathered wood, cut, chopped and brought into the wood stove to heat this home of 26 years and several before. It has lifted my children when they were small and now my grandchildren. It has allowed me to embrace with affection, compassion, and plain old passion my lovely wife Cheryl. This question has left my morning bones with an appreciation and warmth. Thank you. Namaste.

Thank you for reminding me of folks like you that work with the things I love to have in my house…flowers, wood, goid food, etc.

I have type 2 diabetes. I use the freestyle libre 2 to check my blood sugars everyday. They’ve been within target over the last 2 weeks. Last check, my A1C was 7.4 which was a few weeks ago. The Doctor noticed me going off-target more often and had to tell me to increase my met forman pills from 3 to 4 doses. I already do good on the exerciseby going swimming at LA Fitness and walking at the mall with my parents. For eatting, that may be needed as a wake-up call to cut down on the sweets, portion size, and eat more fruits and vegetables, especially the 2nd one.

Keeping everything in balance is, well, a balancing act. I wish you the best in reaching that goal.

My hands. I notice how much my hands help to facilitate what i love in life. I need to take care of them always.

EJP, I play the piano, so I can totally understand the value of our hands. A piano player’s hands is like the ACL for an athlete.

Oh dear sister feet! I know in the past few years, I have treated myself to cozy fun wool socks. I even found Buffalo wool socks, though a bit pricey, they keep all 10 of my toes quite comfy many a winter’s night. I do need to learn to pamper my feet more! I’m not one to soak them and really scrub my toes till they sparkle! Ah! A new goal. Happy weekend to .all 😉

This month I have little to no migraines! This is amazing! I take being healthy in my body for granted and suddenly when there is pain I remember how grateful I am. So sometimes it takes suffering to wake us up!
    Today I don’t have a migraine or a toothache!
I’m so grateful to be at peace in the here and now. Thank you !
