So the more of a grateful vibe there is, the more positivity and this affects everything including social changes. 2 Reply Ose1 year agoOseI feel Gratefulness is the natural reply in us to God‘s gift of life and reverberates in many ways, reaching near and far, stimulating to listen to His voice in it‘s thousandfold expressions and thus stimulating Social change in Individual and in the same time even manyfold ways, serving His wil and so multiplying loving kindness and peace in the world. I’m almost to the point of completely giving up on any social media communities to do with contemplation as I consistently come up against a complete misunderstanding of what contemplation is. The change that occurs is simply spontaneous living in the present. Whether that involves “social change” or not is completely beside the point…. This inspires me to ask for climate justice for the millions of people all over the world where rivers are polluted, lakes are polluted, wells are polluted. I have to be a voice for the voiceless. 4 Reply Present Moment1 year agoPresent MomentLiving gratefully connects me, to the cosmic power that removes fear and uncovers the energy needed to act. 3 Reply Jeseph1 year agoJesephGratefulness is needed more now than ever – living by example can inspire grateful living in those around me. 6 Reply Tom1 year agoTomFor me living gratefully inspires me to affect social change by noticing the benefits of gratitude in my own life. When I am given something, I want to give in turn. Gratefulness is the awareness of our daily gifts, so it is inevitable and unavoidable that when receiving these gifts through gratitude there is a matching desire to give to others – social change. 5 Reply Anneclaire1 year agoAnneclaireWell, I suppose if I live gratefully and with courage, I do not have to be inspired to affect social change, change will happen around me … That does not sound very pro-active, but perhaps each of us is called to effect change in different ways … What is your view? 4 Reply Serafina1 year agoSerafinaI agree, each of us is called to effect change in different ways. It brought to mind what Kristi says in number 6 of her ‘Ten True Things about Gratefulness’ …she says ‘Whether it’s the environment, democracy, or your community, when you feel grateful for something, you notice what it needs and you do what you can to take care of it.’   https://gratefulness.org/blog/ten-true-things-about-gratefulness-a-conversation-with-kristi-nelson/ 6 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleI have to first comment on today’s picture in the word for the day. I love it!! It totally made me smile and say a big awwww. Living gratefully is personal… not sure how that would inspire me to affect social change? Laughter is a great release. There is always a need for that. 3 Reply Samir Bara1 year agoSamir BaraBeing grateful for this and every moment; and being grateful for all the gifts and blessings contained with the moment; helps me to realize my truest and fullest potential, with which I can move mountains. 2 Reply Kevin1 year agoKevinBeing mindful of approaching life with gratitude and being grateful for the circumstances of my life creates its own subtle, yet sustained energy. That energy, combined with knowledge and will, join forces that can, if applied, affect the need for social change around me. 4 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
