Blossom1 week agoBlossomI have a heart as wild as the wind, joyfulness is never far away, play with abandon! 2 Reply Peter1 week agoPeterLots of places. Now, taking care of my eight month old grandson. Previously, traveling: I’ve spent two and a half years traveling, including two year-long trips around the world to forty countries. 1 Reply Antoinette1 week agoAntoinetteSwimming and water bring joy to life! I also have started to paint with oils and it’s wonderful 3 Reply Hot Sauce1 week agoHot SauceI find playfulness and adventure in my quest for ever-increasing knowledge and wisdom. It’s like an adventure of searching for the deep secrets of the universe. 5 Reply Don Jones1 week agoDon JonesWith creative pursuits in the workshop – classic rock playing, lots of “what if’s” swirling around, banter with a disinterested dog, internal commentary on the degree of cooperation between mind and hands, occasionally getting hooked on a song on the radio resulting in an impromptu performance with the air guitar or a scrap wood microphone… 3 Reply devy1 week agodevyPlayfulness in practicing my guitar and playing my music learning an art is a lifelong adventurer where individuals can always improve and have something to express their skills and emotions to others 2 Reply pkr1 week agopkrI find playfulness in gardening, tending to my flowers. Also on my walks, amidst the Redwoods. So much to explore & delight in, birds, flowers, God’s hand. So much to take in & be awed by. This for me is also an adventure. ❤️ 2 Reply Barb C1 week agoBarb CLast night my husband and I watched a Jeanne Robertson video--a former Miss North Carolina who delivers very gentle stand-up comedy in a Southern drawl. This wasn’t one joke after another–more of a motivational/funny talk at Elon College. She talked about where she finds her humorous stories and it’s simple: She puts “find humor in something today” on her to-do list every day. I find this a really wonderful idea and we could do the same with playfulness and adventure (similar to Laura’s note below–every day can be an adventure as each one is brand new). Today for me involves some gardening, cleaning, and thinking through a draft kitchen remodel. I’ll figure out some way to add play along the way. Playfulness and adventure can and I would like to think do apply to all areas of my life. Nothing is too serious that some part of it can’t be enjoyed with lightheartedness, and nothing is so predictable and established that it can’t be approached with a spirit of discovery. 3 Reply Lee Anne1 week agoLee AnneMy family is gone, and I have no children. I will, on occasion, splurge and take a mocha latte to the river, which is playful for me. Gosh, I miss the second heartbeat in my home that was my Abbey. 🌺 🌸 Read More5 Reply Mary Pat1 week agoMary PatI am truly sorry for your loss. I had to put down both my cats within 6 months of one another. When the time is right, you can add a new heartbeat to your home. 0 Reply pkr1 week agopkrLee Anne, sending you hugs. I lost my beloved cat Daisy, as well as 2 cherished family members recently. I know the sadness & pain of loss too. Hugs, love & light to you dear fellow traveler. Abbey living on in your memory is a tribute to your love. 1 Reply Pilgrim1 week agoPilgrimI am so sorry for your loss of Abbey, Lee Anne. My heart is with you. 1 Reply Holly in Ohio1 week agoHolly in OhioOh gosh, Lee Anne! I am so sorry! You have us. And you can come to the Gratitude Lounge and post a photo of Abbey if you feel like doing that, or just to chat. So sorry for your loss. 😿🕊 1 Reply Holly in Ohio1 week agoHolly in OhioSometimes these questions unintentionally point out things I’m lacking in my life at this time. I am playful, but my family is not playful. They tend towards the sardonic, complaining side. For a while, the Gratitude Lounge was playful… at the moment it is more serious… that’s okay, too. But the question reminds me that playfulness is healthy, and it touches happiness, and quite frankly, I miss it. Sometimes it does us good to seek it out! 3 Reply carol1 week agocarolI find playfulness with people where I feel a sense of kinship. I actively seek out opportunities to laugh. As to adventure– everything is an adventure, some readily enjoyable, others not so much. 5 Reply Javier Visionquest1 week agoJavier VisionquestI like to incorporate playfulness during periods of workityness to cut the boringness, and everything’s an adventure 5 Reply Holly in Ohio1 week agoHolly in OhioI LOVE that word! “workityness” It rolls on the tongue! 2 Reply Javier Visionquest1 week agoJavier VisionquestSorry, Even though it’s not paid (in petro-dollars), there’s no fixed schedule, but it’s not free time. It’s. . . workity. I have an entire vocabulary of cooperative nouns, verbs, and adverbs ready to take the wheel for each other in order to drive a complete thought to the end of sentence, sense be damned! 2 Reply Antoinette1 week agoAntoinetteWhat do you work with – or do for the Petro dollars? 1 Reply Javier Visionquest1 week agoJavier VisionquestI work part time for a busy garden center, unloading trucks and tabling perennial plants, Antoinette 3 Reply Mary Pat1 week agoMary PatWith children, especially my grandchildren. And our dog, Joy. These are the beings that bring out the best in me! 5 Reply Ed Schulte1 week agoEd SchulteIn the expansions and new combinations evolving within the inner light exercises. I was going to say that I find adventure at the start of a trip, journeying into the unknown. But it occurred to me, isn’t each morning just like the start of every trip? I don’t know what the day holds. Not really. Each day can be an adventure into the unknown. I’ll have to work on this. 8 Reply Holly in Ohio1 week agoHolly in OhioI caught my breath when I read your thought! 🤗 1 Reply Hermann-Josef1 week agoHermann-JosefI as a German am not supposed to be playful. 🧐 we are disciplined people you know. We are professional and follow the rules strictly and always🥱. Thinking about it I feel I am not a good German. The times when I am not playful might be in dreamstate. About my deepsleep state I can‘t tell you because I always forget. What was I during deep sleep? I think this will be my new adventure 8 Reply Michele1 week agoMicheleI think going to a Rammstein concert would be playful and fun, lol. I never knew they could jump so high, practically straight up the side of a tree. We have 3 colors of squirrels in my new hometown, grey, black and brown. Lots of birds out there, and one day a turkey lumbered across the area. I find adventure in getting to know the area … the parks – there are so many here, another gift – and the lake area. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to move here. 5 Reply Holly in Ohio1 week agoHolly in OhioThat is wonderful to hear! 😃 1 Reply Kevin1 week agoKevinYour new location, Pilgrim, sounds wonderful!
