I most likely laugh at myself every day for not remembering something. However tonight I laughed at our family dog stanley as I walk him. He is quite the character and always makes me laugh

I don’t recall the last time I laughed at myself. I do make myself crack up a lot tho, laughing out loud at things I read, memes posted by clever, smart people. I do chuckle a lot to myself. 😂
Like others have said, I too take myself too seriously. I have actively been looking for more “laugh avenues” as this world seems to spin out of control. Laughter is the best medicine & it is FREE. (not sure who said that).

I, unfortunately, take myself way too seriously and my worry of getting things “wrong” keeps me from laughing at myself.

I love this question! I don’t recall exact circumstances or a specific instance but I have a strong feeling that it would have been sparked by finding something in an odd place and realizing why it ended up there. “Oh, right, I was on my way to do X and suddenly thought of Q and just set K down for a second while I took care of that, and then I never came back.” For everyday things like my wallet I’m pretty good about keeping it in a specific place and putting it back there, but my husband would attest that when it’s time to leave the house I’m often looking for just one more thing. And that other thing.

Beautiful question. It’s been a while.
But, I know that feeling and that
mind state. That feeling of observing
    myself with kindness and compassion.
This is such a good reminder for me
right now. I will meditate on this and
attempt to carry it with me today. 🙏

A day where I can laugh at my thoughts, reactions, and actions is a good day.
    Laughter eases pain.
    Laughter brings optimism.
Laughing has always been one of my favorite activities.
I seek it out. Good comedians help us on this journey.

I don’t think I can pinpoint exactly when but I can say that it happens more and more often as I’ve gotten older. It also happens a lot more since I started living with an attitude of gratitude. In my personal experience, the more I grow in self-awareness, the more I realizes and accept that I am enough and that life is process not product, the easier it has become to lovingly laugh at myself.

Yesterday morning when I read the daily question and thought it said save the world rather than serve 🙂

Well, SOMEBODY has to save the world! I didn’t make time to answer yesterday’s question but read your answer and thought, “Of course! Why not?”

It is so long ago that I can’t remember. Maybe never. Will try to think of it.

I crack myself up all the time. Sometimes I am out in the fields, some times at home. Cheryl will ask “What’s so funny?”. Sometimes she gets it, other times she will say “I’m glad you you find yourself funny!”

The self is something to laugh at all the time- it doesn’t even exist! Today I noticed the self judging someone and I laughed because I was so grateful to be able to let it go! This flashlight of mindfulness to be able to see every moment and let go with a grateful heart is a blessing!
    Thank you so much!
