His entire being is happy. 1 Reply Katrina1 year agoKatrinaFor Christmas I gave each person in my family a roll of toilet paper made from recycled paper. The name of the company that produces it is “Who Gives a Crap”. That in and of itself made everyone laugh. Then I told my teenaged grandson he had just gotten recycled toilet paper for Christmas from his Gammers. He said, “EWWWEE.” We all burst out laughing. 2 Reply reality1 year agorealityHope you recover all the way soon enough. Yes, beyond, “let a smile be your ambassador”, for, it’s a blessing to share a smile. Have as good a day as you can 🙂 reality 2 Reply reality1 year agorealityI do it contiually, I’m a funny guy; for e.g., how many police officers does it take to screw in a lightbulb, Mayor Dinkins says “there aren’t enough we have to hire more”. Have a good day ? reality. 2 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagI don’t recall what I said but I made my daughter smile and me smile also and then it snowballed and we couldn’t control a fit of giggles. Great therapy! 2 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelAman, you remind me of something my late wife used to say often. “When you meet someone who has no smile, just give them one of yours to keep…” She always had a big beautiful “trademark” smile on her pretty face. For everyone she met… sb 7 Reply oriana santarelli1 year agooriana santarelliHi, Aman ! I hope you recover. I was once in a wheel chair for a month in the hospital as well. Keep up your positivity and never give up. 2 Reply oriana santarelli1 year agooriana santarelliIm currently in my psych rotation and met a boy with schizophrenia. He reminded me of a little brother. We took him and the other patients to barnes and noble for our day trip. Although, he didnt gain enough points to go out we still brought him and walked closely with him. I got him cheesecake at starbucks and in return he gave me a big smile. 7 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuel1/1/2020 when I shared New Years Day lunch with a number of friends and family at a family member’s home in Bryson City, WNC. It was a very happy and loving gathering of kindred souls… sb 6 Reply Bonnie Oster1 year agoBonnie OsterI’m a caregiver for a client who lives in a Memory Care Unit. He is a lovely, gentle man with Dementia. I’m with him for 3 hours a day, but during these hours we reminisce, talk and laugh. Before I leave he tells me that I have brightened his day. My gift to him is laughter; his gift to me is his smile! 8 Reply Maria1 year agoMariaHas anyone got ideas for how to develop or bring more laughter to our lives? Thanks! 3 Reply Serafina1 year agoSerafinaThis Brother David video makes me laugh every time I watch it! https://gratefulness.org/the-joy-of-imperfection/ 3 Reply FLEBP1 year agoFLEBPIf I can make my husband and my son laugh daily, I know I have won! I love those belly laughs that just keep going on and on. I would say a couple days ago I gave my husband a good laugh, when doing a comparison of people! For my son, tickling him by his neck area, and doing funny voices always works! 6 Reply Debra1 year agoDebraNew Year’s Day. I have often been told I have an infectious laugh and bright smile. Laughter certainly comes very naturally to me and I can get a roomful of people in ‘stitches’ fairly quickly. It’s Spirit’s gift to me and my gift back is the joy of broadly returned smiles and the sound of each person’s unique laugh. 6 Reply Tom Denham1 year agoTom DenhamLast night I walked into a room and a bunch of people smiled widely. I’ve been building rapport with that group for months and it may be the greatest gift I’ve ever given myself. I’ve behaved in a way that makes people glad to see me and I am the one who is blessed. 8 Reply pkr1 year agopkrAlmost everyday. I try to “lighten things up” on a daily basis wherever I go. Laughter is the best medicine and it is FREE. Too bad lots of folks have no sense of humor! I made my 94 year old mom laugh a lot on New Year’s Day. ? I too enjoyed today’s question. Thank You to the Team. ❤️ 7 Reply devy1 year agodevyMake someone smile widely? Well my partner a few days ago. As for with others, I am introverted and don’t have a large social gathering. I have a few friends but they live far away. I suppose posting things on Facebook and having people laugh at them is a way. 3 Reply Sue1 year agoSueOne of my 3 ganddaighters and I are “giggle partners”. She just turned two and I learned several months ago that she loves my laugh so when I giggle, she does too. We can go on for quite awhile together until my jaw hurts! I do wish I were more witty with adults. I envy those people who are because laughter is such a gift! 5 Reply Antoinette1 year agoAntoinetteWhen my family we’re playing board games over the Christmas holiday we were all rolling on the floor with laughter! So fun when everyone puts away their phones and really interact with each other! 8 Reply Present Moment1 year agoPresent MomentOn Sunday I remember my friend doubled up in laughter as she tried to pull the door shut as she left my house. She and I always save the last topic of conversation for humor. It’s memory carries us both until we meet again. 4 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleI love a good hard belly laugh. Everyone knows there are people who all you need to do is just hear their laugh and you bust out laughing. There are times when I laugh out loud just remembering something funny. Thank God for South Park, Stepbrothers, and even The Three Stoogies going wayy back. 4 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
