To be at your side, when you call me. To do what I can. To give what I can afford. To meditate and offer space for meditation with my fellow people. To support healing if it is meant to be. To take the Franciscan Blessing to heart. Thank you dearly for the reminder, dear Howie and dear Carla. To give myself. To open up to love. 🙏 8 Reply Carla2 months agoCarlaThank you Ose, Abundant Blessings to you in 2021💟🌟 3 Reply Ose2 months agoOseThank you, dear Carla, all the best and a healthy, happy New Year to you! We must do our best to intervene and speak up for the distinction between right and wrong. We can do this gently or strongly, but surely it is our responsibility to speak up or step in between when we hear or see bullying, racism, lack of justice or lack of compassion for the hungry, the refugee, the children, the elderly, the persecuted…. The first is to heal individuals, the second to heal the world. Silence is the voice of complicity. Unresolved emotional states precipitate into the physical tissues where they eventually express as “dis-ease”. Primary among the many lessons that Covid exists as an opportunity for the human condition to learn is that the greater part of freedom is responsibility. Let me not raise dust, in anger or greed that blinds my brothers and sisters. Make my steps light upon life’s path. Make my heart, 0 God, my Father, a crystal-clear mirror to reflect Your Love, my love, and to allow my fellow humans to rejoice.” And since it is the time of year the when Joshua Emmanuel name is used frequently……I add this a quote by Daskalos re: …”Doing the Truth = is living the Love” “Many great spiritual seers agree in teaching the primacy of love. Let us repeat Jesus’ statement, “He that doeth truth cometh to the light” (John 3:21). For Jesus, it seems that doing the truth consisted first and foremost in living love: in relieving suffering, healing disease, showing the way of the fullness of life, and blessing all those he met, everywhere.” A Very good “practice” suggestion! I try to be aware of my heart and as much as I can authentically tell my wife that I love her. I had zoom calls with several friends this past week and perhaps of the first time I told him how much they meant to me and that I love them. These aren’t big acts, But all together I bring meaning into my life and into the larger world. Sometimes faces are sad, and it’s a way of giving them a little human connection. “I see you” can be very healing. Thank you for reminding me of that. 8 Reply Howie Geib2 months agoHowie GeibLord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me bring love. O Master, let me not seek as much to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love, for it is in giving that one receives, it is in self-forgetting that one finds, it is in pardoning that one is pardoned, it is in dying that one is raised to eternal life.
