It felt good, and they both seemed to quite enjoy the conversations. And then I read today’s quote, and my conversations felt like tiny examples of this: We need movements rooted in love right now, movements powered not by difference and exclusion and punishment, but by common ground, compassion, humility, healthy boundaries, patience and healing. Smile at the person in line at the grocery store, the library, everywhere. Pay attention to the interactions each of our days offer–they are opportunities to share your wisdom, compassion and recognition of others. 3 Reply Cathie2 months agoCathieHmm, since I have no plans today other than watering my garden, practicing yoga, meditating and taking my dog for a walk, I can be open to the opportunities and then, if presented, respond with a grateful heart that an opportunity presented itself for me to be of service. 3 Reply Yram2 months agoYramI will have many opportunities to “mingle” with folks today in various venues. I will be conscious of being present in the busyness of interaction. Some venues will be stressful, so I will respect and listen to other’s point of view. 2 Reply Maeve2 months agoMaeveShare my love for the natural world. Take my student outside the school for a walk around the block to look for robins with my binoculars! Tour the community garden across from the school with my Kindergartners, to observe the abundance of plants and flowers. 5 Reply Laura2 months agoLauraAt work I can be attuned to peoples plights when they call the office seeking help. More generally I can pay attention to people around me, listening not just hearing. 5 Reply carol2 months agocarollook for the treasures, be mindful, 5 Reply Ose2 months agoOseby being present and replying to the needs of others at hand, being kind, openhearted and, like Don mentioned, with a wholehearted YES to be of service in whatever way possible. 5 Reply Don Jones2 months agoDon JonesI have been listening to some love stories.
