Read More5 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelRemembering the vigil many of my friends and fellow citizens (and even some vacationers, too) had Thursday evening at 8 PM in the Town Square in front of the one-time Swain County Court House in Bryson City, NC. We had a nice turnout with prayers, singing, a short speech or two followed by a reading of all the names of the victims slain in Dayton, OH and El Paso, TX. it was a peaceful but passionate vigil without politicization or shouting or recriminations but instead an effort to raise awarene...Remembering the vigil many of my friends and fellow citizens (and even some vacationers, too) had Thursday evening at 8 PM in the Town Square in front of the one-time Swain County Court House in Bryson City, NC. I find this difficult at times, often it feels like most of the time. But formal meditation and contemplation practice are what have helped me be more present to each of my moments. Having a formal practice allows me to feel more whole and integrated as complete being. This brings more peace more often.
