Happy belated Christmas! Life is a gift but it also gives us struggles to make us stronger.
Yesterday I woke up to a bursting water pipe in the house we are selling due to losing power on dec 23.
I handled it and decided it was not going to ruin my day and had a great xmas with family. I am so so grateful
for family and that my daughter is in a great recovery program for sobriety.

I do believe that life is a gift, while being aware of it is not always present. Thank you for your being here, sharing, for your kindness and for being friends. May you all have joyful, peaceful and happy days! Merry Christmas to all of you, my dear friends.

When I am open to and receptive to Grace, this Life returns to flow and ease notwithstanding what shows up. Words like endurance, regeneration, sanctification and resilience put some dimension to it.

I would be happier. I frequently forget to be grateful. Whenever I come back to gratefulness I feel joy. I think I’ll put some notes around my house to remind me.

Right now I do remember that life is a gift. I am home alone on Christmas due to sickness. But I woke up to the ding of a text message and then more, from family and friends, so I am not alone. And the morning sun shining on me through my bedroom window.

Is life always a gift? Maybe so, but I wonder about that in the face of deep suffering and misery. Am not sure…. I am thinking of Victor Frankl and his book “Man’s Search for Meaning” which he wrote while in a concentration camp, I believe. He found meaning in his extreme circumstances.

More easily fully drop aversion to difficult and challenging life events and see them as learning and growing opportunities.

Ahhh wouldn’t that be nice. I hope I would be less pessimistic, less stuck, and less anxious. And I know I would be more present, more positive, more relaxed, and I hope I would be more content. Thanks for this reminder. I needed this.

I fully realize that my life is a gift- I just am not always aware of it. Some days are better than others…Thank you all for all your words of wisdom…and kindness…YOU are all truly a gift. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas…or if that is not your belief..I wish you a day of happiness and peace. Today is truly a gift. I will keep that thought.

I have been looking and trying to teach each new day as a gift. My outlook on things and my views on life have changed for the better. Others notice a difference in me. Merry Christmas to everyone on this site. πŸ™πŸŽΆ

My life changes for the better every time I see the gifts before me. Counting my blessings anchors me to what really matters and helps me weather difficulties and challenges.
May we all be filled with light and love as we approach a new year.

I do believe that every moment is a gift. May be because of my age more than my spiritual growth. That said, I can tell you that for me, it does make a difference. It helps me go with the flow. What do I know for sure, anyway?

I’m reminded of these words from poet Kahlil Gibran in his book “The Prophet.” “Say not, “I have found the truth,” but rather, “I have found a truth.” Say not, “I have found the path of the soul.” Say rather, “I have met the soul walking upon my path.” For the soul walks upon all paths. The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed. The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.”

I already believe that every moment is a gift and I am truly grateful for all that I am and for all that I have.

I would truly be alive in the present and full of love, kindness and gratitude every moment. Something so simple yet difficult to practice every moment. This is a good thing to strive for. May all of you who share here experience peace and love in your hearts today and everyday.
