I did by sailing today and staying on the boat overnight. Was a beautiful sunny day with the perfect amount of sunshine and blue skies. A little chilly overnight but perfect for sleeping

I decided to forego my usual to do list (which never ends) and just be in the day with my husband. I made a good lunch for us and am reading a great book. For once, I am not “shoulding” all over myself…

I was blown away by the leaves of various greens a dark burgundy. I will look at other colors of objects with the same delight.

Being happy and grateful to listening for his needs and to help my father in various ways, which was essential for his well being and bringing back some strength and positive perspective.

    By being present.

Today is a long workday for me.
Doing a job that, in the big picture,
    is pretty meaningless. It’s also,
    uncharacteristically gray and cool today.
So “cherish” might be a stretch.
I will practice gratitude, kindness, and
    being as present as possible.
It is in these moments, that this practice
    is so important for me.

When I look “in the big picture”, Charlie T, I find the big picture rather silly anyway. I think it takes all the “pretty meaningless” comings and goings to keep the “big picture” floating!

I am cherishing nature so much this spring! It is a spectacular day, and the weather forecast is for more of the same for this entire weekend.
I will enjoy the lush green and nature this weekend. I am delighting in the finches coming to my bird feeder, and the sunlight through the trees. Tomorrow I will enjoy hiking a small mountain with friends. Feel fortunate for all the beauty of the natural world surrounding me.

By anointing my eyes with the salve of love of God, so that I will see the good in the world, by overcoming the illusion of this body meaning too proud of my eyes puffed up false ego. How can I see God with only with material eyes.
The qoute of the day, says it better here: If I had my life to live over again, I would ask that not a thing be changed, but that my eyes be opened wider… Seek and expect and thou shall find ..🙏

I will cherish this day by being mindful of all the beauty that surrounds me. I meet with my weekly meditation group of ladies this morning…at a lady’s home in the woods…rustic but comforting. I will appreciate her simple way of life and enjoy my time with this group and our discussion.

To be fully aware, fully accepting, fully kind, fully peaceful and as the daily word stated to have my eyes opened wider that I might truly cherish the gift of today. This day that I have been given.
