Gratefulness has added strength to me to endure my struggles with my daughter. Between my faith and gratefulness I feel like I can do this. I can focus on better thoughts and maybe pray and find ways healthy ways to cope. Before I felt very hopeless of so many relapses. I experienced fear and anxiety. My daughter is still doing well in her new program and her guardian angel Ben (who I prayed for) is still in the picture. He has become a huge support to both my daughter and me. I am also very grateful for your reflections and this community : )

Gratefulness inspires me with contentement and loving and appreciating the life I have. It inspires me to be more positive around others and perhaps provides a good example.

I feel that gratefulness fuels generosity. I like the way generosity shows up. Generosity of spirit, generosity of time, generosity of giving, generosity of love, generosity of God, generosity in so many ways.

Sometimes I lie awake at night and ask “Why me?”
Then a voice answers “Nothing personal,
your name just happened to come up. –
    – Charlie Brown, in Charles M. Schulz’ cartoon Peanuts
Gratefulness changes my perspective and reminds me that I am enough. It changes my inner world and helps me navigate the outer world. That inspires me!

Beautiful question! Gratefulness inspires me to be a better self. I am a worrier person, trauma response is all I know, but when I stop to see how far I have come, gratefulness takes the place of worry, this reaction makes me calm, open to possibilities that I don’t see when I am in my trauma response. I can breathe and move forward. I am grateful for all of you that visit this site and take the time to answer, you all inspire me! I thank you!!

This morning my parish choir sang well. We sang during a special celebration, recalling a medieval miracle that sacred traditions pay homage to Mary Most Holy, who saved my little village from the plague.
This morning we were inspired, thankful before singing.
We are studying how to improve our voices and show our inner joy, we are engaged in this.
And so, after the sacred celebration, we were grateful, our hearts linked together.

I am not sure how gratefulness inspires me…but it does make me more aware. As I have said before..I have all I need…and I am so grateful for my life and all the gifts that I have been given. I am grateful that I have this place to come everyday…it grounds me…makes me aware and appreciative. Wishing everyone a very good Sunday. Cloudy and bits of rain in my area of the world. Blessings

I’m not sure about inspires. Gratefulness certainly impels or nudges me to be aware of what I can do for other people, even in small ways — hold the door, slip some money into an outstretched hand or listen to another’s story.

I’m not sure how it inspires me, but starting a gratitude practice several years back has made my life better in all kinds of ways, and for that I’m grateful 🙂
