Understanding that this is what they have. 3 Reply Pamela2 months agoPamelaAs I practice gratefulness, it bubbles up and out of me 🙂 I cant help it but have a desire to help as many people as I can 4 Reply Lioness2 months agoLionessI think by being grateful in my own life, it helps me recognise better when others perhaps do not have that same insight and that makes me feel a deeper compassion for them. 3 Reply Ose2 months agoOseBeing grateful, even if it would be there related to one person especially, a situation or related to a gift offered in a given moment is being all inclusive inherently, from my heart. While Including all, compassion is nurtured naturally through the flow of love which does not make a difference between so-called good or bad when flowing through. Love just flows, and gratefulness opens the heart for all which is. 3 Reply Don Jones2 months agoDon JonesGratefulness is what flows from the wellspring of silence and stillness. Its presence brings union and oneness. The atmosphere is Love and compassion. Life energy in this environment is pure bliss. 3 Reply Papilio2 months agoPapilioI think that gratefulness *practices* deepen my compassion. Practicing gratefulness opens my heart and gives me a fresh vantage point free from self-centered thinking. 4 Reply Zenith2 months agoZenithI don’t know. For me it isn’t gratefulness that deepens compassion, it is life experience. Because I have survived much I can identify with almost anything. Lol ife is not easy. 4 Reply Patricia2 months agoPatriciaGratefulness, because it is a mindful practice, encourages me to be more mindful about life overall: my relationships, the Creation, and all my human (and other sentient) companions on this journey. 6 Reply Trish2 months agoTrishI have so much, far more than I really need. My life has included pain & suffering, of course, but not the hardships that seem to consume the lives of some. Gratefulness helps me see the resiliency in others and that connects us. 4 Reply kimthompsen2 months agokimthompsenI think gratefulness allows me to see struggle better. And when I see struggle, I understand better. 7 Reply devy2 months agodevyBeing grateful for what I have or who is in my life brings me joy and peace. At the same time, I look around and see others who are having life difficulties, who are suffering with their health, who have less than what I have and are suffering because of it. I feel compassion for them because I do understand why they feel the way that they do. Perhaps if I reach out, smile, be supportive of them and show them my own gratitude it may transfer to them and help them see the way of gratitude as well...Being grateful for what I have or who is in my life brings me joy and peace. Once one has self love then it’s natural to have compassion and love for others. I always make sure to have great communication with my kids, family, friends, and co workers. I have empathy and try to stay positive. I know there are bad days as well as good ones. Emotions come and go. It’s ok. Smile and be grateful:) 8 Reply EJP2 months agoEJPGratefulness opens the heart and soul to all that surrounds me, bringing greater nderstanding and compassion. 5 Reply Kevin2 months agoKevinThis pandemic has amplified just how much we all seek to be in the company of, and to be concerned for, other human beings, to simply see, hear and interact with one another in any number of ways. I cannot imagine what life would be like not to have another life form in our own image, to know, to care for, to dispute with and problem solve with, together. Simply stated, other people complete my own humanity. 10 Reply sunnypatti2 months agosunnypattiMagic happens when you practice gratitude. It really changes your whole sense of being, and as you build this practice up and make it routine, you cannot help but be more compassionate to the rest of the world. It helps you appreciate the fact that others are doing the best they can, just like you. That God made everyone. Gratitude helps you step out of self (the little ego self) and recognize your divine connection with everyone and everything. 8 Reply Lauryn2 months agoLaurynGratefulness of the things/people/experiences in ones life increases understanding and appreciation which makes it easier to feel compassion for others. In theory. I’m going to try to put this into practice today. 3 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
