Joining other friends here, I practice gratefulness coming here, as I do in the early morning and before bed.

I’m in the beginning of the journey. At present, I am starting with daily journal prompts. That caused me to find this site, so the journey continues :).

By trying to come to this site daily, reflecting and reading about other’s practices. By being more aware that everyone is going through something and trying to show kindness to all. By being more aware of the abundance of our beautiful nature around me.
Tomorrow at work they are doing a meditation and sound bath experience for all employees that would like to attend. I am looking forward to it.

I had the oddest experience today. In the wee hours of the morning, when I got up to you-know-what, I found myself spontaneously composing a letter to all the people in my life that I am grateful for. It was entirely spontaneous – did not come from any decision to “practice gratitude” or “be in the now:” or “I should.” It is not that unusual for me to compose things in my head, but I have never experienced anything like this before. This gratitude stuff is powerful.
BTW, not coincidentally, I got an e-mail from one of those people who was particularly strong in my thought and who I haven’t heard from in a while. With a query about my well-being and a specific offer of help.

By being grateful for life all around, including mine, not always expressed but clearly there; by gratefully being with friends and loved ones, sometimes singing, cooking together; by giving thanks often during the day. Thank you for your fine contributions.

I am truly grateful for this life experience. I have been blessed abundantly in many ways and enjoyed experiences beyond my imagination and understanding. Reflection and contemplation are the main ways I practice gratefulness, but gratefulness itself often becomes the foundation for other aspects of my life. Perhaps it is impossible to truly fathom the depths and dimensions of my gratitude in a head sense, but my heart sings its praises.

I begin my day by thanking Source for the blessing of a new day & end my day by listing/remembering all the things I am thankful for from that day, thanking Source.
I say thank you a lot as I experience the day. I am very blessed.🙏🏻🕎🕯️❤️

I practice gratefulness by trying to be mindful of the present moment and the blessings that surround me.

“When you go deeply into the present, gratitude arises spontaneously, even if it’s just gratitude for breathing, gratitude for the aliveness that you feel in your body.” Eckhart Tolle

I read today’s quote, then today’s question and them Richard Rohr’s daily meditation and I thought together they give me the formula for my every day life. I hope you will take time to read Rohr’s meditation.

My husband and I talk to each other about what we are grateful for nearly every day. It is a deep reminder of the many blessings we have, despite what is going on in the world that day. I love this site as it keeps me focused on the good in life.

One way that I practice gratitude, is by
coming to this site and contemplating
    the Daily Question and contributing.
The other way, is just like Mr Tolle says,
I come back to the present moment.
The present moment always has something
to be grateful for. I know it’s easy to say this
when things are relatively good for me,
but still, I didn’t always have the ability to
to see things this way. It’s just a shifting of
my focus from the negativity the the
positive things in my life. Even if it’s just
    this breath. This heartbeat.

Oh yeah, and of course, reading all of
      your responses, is amazing.
Thank you all for the sharing and the
      wisdom. 🙏

I wake up and say thank you for allowing me another day. I savor my coffee as I choose a meditation and then savor the energy of my meditation as I sit in peace. Then I visit this site, and the question along with all of your responses offer me another dose of gratefulness. I say thank you a lot as I go thru my day – to myself, to my husband, our staff, our customers, and to God. I am happy to be alive, living the life that I have been given!

The morning it may begin with unconscious gratefulness as I look out the window- this time of year the birds are scarce- so it is very quiet . The trees have all lost their leaves and are swaying with the wind. I think about how hwppy I am to live here in this open space, in a warm home. I am always grateful when coming to this site and so happy to see the postings of so many familiar names. When one name that I recognize is missing I worry – and say a prayer for their well being. At night before sleep; I think of my day and say “Thank You” . Thank you to all of you for your wonderful thoughts and practices.

Each morning, as I open the window shade in my Southern window, I say thank you. Something comes over me that humbles and energizes me at the same time. I then begin my breath work, and standing body flow movement. Finally, I ask for healing, loving, energy for individuals, situations, critters, plants, waters, the many different aspects of our natural world.. The heart knows who needs what. And then….coffee! For which I am always grateful for!

I spend most of my time alone, but I often simply say “thank you” out loud to the universe for many things. Health and safety are high on the list. Family and kindness as well.
