It’s been pretty fun. I let my personality come out. 6 Reply Holly in Ohio8 months agoHolly in OhioAt the moment I'm preparing old clothes to make my first braided rag rug. It’s quite compulsive. Read More11 Reply Mica8 months agoMicaWow! ‘braided rag rug’ delights me – my grandma had those. I wonder if she made them. I think we had at least one, too, when I was young. [I had said ‘growing up,’ but actually I was ‘young’ – AND I’m still ‘growing up’ even at my old age.] I put my old clothes in a big USAgain bin, where they’re collected by some clothing thrift store. 4 Reply Holly in Ohio8 months agoHolly in OhioOne nice thing about braided rugs that I learned, is that you can do it gradually. You braid what you have and then tuck the end in and use the rug until you have more, then add to it! 🙂 2 Reply sunnypatti8 months agosunnypattiI express it in my cooking, in the way I decorate my home, in the way I merchandise product at work…and also in my surfing, thru yoga, and spur of the moment dance parties in my living room! 8 Reply Lee Anne8 months agoLee AnneCreativity was breathed into us and is part of our DNA. I walk around most of the time adding things, imaginary things, to embellish my day. Some of them totally made up, but mostly I get triggered to remember something. A place reminds me of somewhere and I imagine I am there...like the place I am is a movie set portraying the other place. Sounds crazy. Likely it is true that I am a bit mad. A place reminds me of somewhere and I imagine I am there…like the place I am is a movie set portraying the other place. Sounds crazy. Likely it is true that I am a bit mad. The thing is, this is a kind of creative drill, so that when something happens in real life, a challenging situation that demands a response, this part of my mind goes into hyperdrive, and it is from here that my response and creative solution will come. A couple of years ago after playing keyboards for a long time, I decided to take the plunge and self teach the guitar. The daily time that I put in to practice is a means to create music, to channel my inner self to positivity. The journey reminds me of the life journey we all have to self improve, learn and accept our capabilities.. 5 Reply Michele8 months agoMicheleI express creativity by seasonally decorating my home and office space at work. 5 Reply Pilgrim8 months agoPilgrimI do this as well, Michele. I enjoy living where there are 4 seasons and reflecting these in my home, and in my planner. 4 Reply Michele8 months agoMicheleLiving in Florida I do miss autumn. I am traveling back to PA for a Halloween wedding and have plans with my best friend to go on a haunted hayride – the same one we did years ago. Both on a very amateur level but here is where I can get lost in the process of trying to capture and express a feeling, an experience. These events and people have shaped my life, and continue to. I have learning disabilities, am on the Autism spectrum, and self actualization has come about through amazing life gifts in such settings. Phenomenal and humbling...Thank you, Sandra.
