Paying attention to and expression of tenderness, really feeling into it and appreciating its beneficial effect on my mind and body helps spread and grow love and goodness inside. 12 Reply Ed Schulte3 months agoEd SchulteAs the ‘Word of the Day’ correctly points out ….there is Ancient Wisdom available IN everyone if it is listened to …Todays I CHING reads in part….. “”He seeks stillness through rigidity instead of relaxation. Tenderness can often lead to hurt & pain but it’s one of the keys to being a compassionate partner in this world. She gets bruised & I make her a beautiful cup of tea & sit w/ her….it’s how we repair so we can stay tender. 8 Reply devy3 months agodevyAs mentioned by others, by showing kindness and compassion to others. At the front of everything, I believe that we have to be kind to ourselves. We can be our worst enemy . At times we would never treat others the way how we treat ourselves. By showing compassion and love, by hugging me, by treating me with understanding , tenderness and love, these feelings will move outwards towards others . 8 Reply EJP3 months agoEJPBy being kind and compassionate always with an open heart. 6 Reply Pam3 months agoPamHow can I honor the tenderness within me ? It could be when I am being grateful because a softness a tenderness then seems to arise… so perhaps when I am in a state of gratitude! 6 Reply Kevin3 months agoKevinIf by “checking-in” with myself to feel where I’m at a particular moment qualifies as honoring my own tenderness, then I feel that I do this regularly. Be it self-talk or gentle self-questioning, the net result is that it gets me to pause and focus on where my head and heart are within that moment, which in turn helps to map my way forward in both actions and speech. 12 Reply devy3 months agodevyAbsolutely.. your post after i wrote mine.😊 4 Reply Michele3 months agoMicheleI can honor the tenderness within me by staying true to myself, my values, being kind and empathetic. Recognising by being tender to myself, I am in fact strengthening my ability to be tender to others. It starts with me, but being tender to me I somehow find more difficult. 11 Reply Howie Geib3 months agoHowie GeibPerhaps be a little bit less of a drill sergeant in regard to the inside voice LOL.
