Also being very compassionate regarding others beliefs and thoughts and being considerate and respectful. I can also not apply so much pressure to others as far as having to be true to their self, the pressure may change their experience from fun and impactful to annoying and frustrating. I have been having Lives on my ig to keep all my followers on track with being true to themselves. 0 Reply Malag1 month agoMalagDo the small things for others, support at times, spread humour, show I care. 3 Reply Anna1 month agoAnnaSometimes, smiling is enough. 3 Reply Hot Sauce1 month agoHot SauceToday, I can ease the path others are walking by contributing to the discussions we have in my seminary classes so that other people can learn on their own spiritual journeys and have some clarity from my own insights. 2 Reply Kristi1 month agoKristiThe best way to ease the path for others is to be kind. Kindness offers a glimmer of hope. I do not want to add stress to someone’s overloaded path. 2 Reply Ose1 month agoOseIf I listen deeply inside, my reply is that I can give all my heart and all I have and all I can to ease the path that others are walking, That His will may be mine. 2 Reply Colleen1 month agoColleenSimply by being PRESENT. 2 Reply sb1 month agosbWhat an inspiring collection of reflections - for once, I think I agree with every single one and if I can use these to encourage me to do one small thing to improve what I do (rather than what I mean to do!!) everyone's life will be better. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. I will check on my progress by regularly asking myself the question: Who benefits here – just me or everyone? 3 Reply Mike S1 month agoMike SSimply checking in with a “how are you doing” and a smile as well as words of encouragement. 4 Reply Lauryn1 month agoLaurynI can ease the path of others by putting their needs over my own whenever possible and by being an active listener, by giving them my full attention, by providing words of encouragement. 4 Reply Melissa1 month agoMelissaGive them a phone call of support. Leave flowers or food at their door. Send a note of encouragement. Wave hello while wearing a mask. Light a candle and say a prayer for peace or mantra for myself and all creatures and humans on mother EARTH. 6 Reply Ed Schulte1 month agoEd SchulteBy a prayer ….(An example below) intention that I "go gently into the day". Simple words with amazing depth and power A line from the I CHING this morning has a similar intent “Watch, listen, study, contemplate, then step lightly but decisively on. Misfortune. 2 Reply ccaropp1 month agoccaroppAlways being compassionate and understanding is always a good option. Everyone is going through something, and we’re all just human at the end of the day living our own lives. Sometimes all a person ever needs is just to be heard. Times like these are tough, but it is very important for us to try to be there for one another. Humans need interaction and right now it’s tough to even receive that properly. 3 Reply Samuel1 month agoSamuelBy feeding them. Today our little Bryson City United Methodist Church will be providing free meals to less fortunate folk in our area who are chronically food-challenged. One cannot begin to pursue life’s loftier ambitions until one’s basic living needs, like food and shelter, have been attained… . 5 Reply Javier Visionquest1 month agoJavier VisionquestKeeping the ice and snow cleared from the public sidewalks in front of my and the neighbors’; I’ve been, literally, easing the path that others are walking for the past few days. 8 Reply Carol1 month agoCarolI have a neighbor in eighties who does that for me as I can’t do it for myself. I worry when I see him out there in the cold but he is determined! His kindness and thoughtfulness brings me to tears. Bless you. Yours is a very thoughtful act. 4 Reply Carol1 month agoCarolPrayer comes to mind—not the prayers that ask for specific outcomes but the prayers that I call reporting for duty. Make me an instrument of your peace. Let it be done unto me according to Thy word. Those kind of prayers do not decide what is best for another but ask for wisdom and grace for a troubled soul. They are prayers that surround the other with love and compassionate energies. I spent many years sponsoring others in 12 step programs and whenever I received a call from someone in distress, I uttered a silent prayer, asking God to get me out of the way. I wanted to be able to listen without judgment and deliver straight, helpful information with love and compassion. Ironically, in most cases the advice or counsel I gave was as helpful to me in my own journey as I hope it was to the caller. I grew from those conversations. No matter what our circumstances or limitations, in most cases, we can always pray or pick up the phone and check on another. You never know. It could be the highlight of their day.
