I love all of your reflections today and love this group! You are all very compassionate and caring : )

I do check in with family and friends when I know they are suffering. Many have reached out to me because they know I do help in
any way I can. A supportive ear or any small act of kindness. I also fondly remember when someone checks in on me when I am suffering.

To be with her and him in heart; to be listening to my fellow neighbor, friend or loved one; embrace, hugging if adequate and to be of service for the one who is suffering, if possible. Sending love. Blessings to all of you, dear friends.

I just shot a text to a friend whose mother is having serious health issues. It doesn’t have to be complicated – just a reach-out that says “I am here for you.” And, the person doesn’t have to be “suffering” to want or need a communication that makes them feel better.

I try to send them encouraging messages every day or assuring them that I am there… idk exactly what they’re feeling or what they’re thinking but my goal is to let them know they aren’t alone and that at least one person cares about them and will unconditionally always be there for them. Sometimes it hurts, but the pain, I think, is worth it so long as I am giving them that small sense of not feeling alone.

I wish I could be more original- but if I know someone is suffering I would call them, send a card- or if possible visit. I think whatever we do- it helps just to know that someone cares. Blessings to all !

I can reach out; call, text, send a card. I can let them know I am here for them. I can pray for them & I will. I believe in the power of prayer. πŸ™πŸ»β€οΈ

Be there for them in whatever way they need me. Listen with love. Offer a hug. Pray.

I can make a positive difference by showing kindness and compassion, sharing my positive energy and opening my heart for their prayers.

My father and stepmother are 90 and 87. They live 1000 miles to the west. Both are dealing with the aging process of the late winter variety. My father had four children with my mother, who died when I was young and two more with his second wife, My brother Michael left the planet by his own hand 20+ years ago. My three sisters live close by, and my folks fortunately still have the means to be in their own home. I believe that when I call and send them funny cartoons cut out from the Sunday funny pages taped in a card, I make a positive difference in their lives as they can tell I am doing better and have reached out to let them know of my love and appreciation for them. Namaste.

As someone of the same vintage as your folks, I assure you that your reach-outs make all the difference in the world to them. And, those positive interactions make us feel better physically as well as emotionally. I experience it, as do most (evolved) people I talk with, and it is backed by some scientific research. Keep doing what you’re doing!

First, I need to pause in order to notice the suffering. After that I can offer whatever the situation reveals — time spent listening, encouragement, a meal, and so on.

I’m starting out in a good place today.
So, having a positive attitude will unconsciously help wherever l go and whoever l come on contact with.
The universe will take care of the rest.
It is really just that simple.

Ask them what they need. I’ve found it best not to assume I know what they need. I am more prone to send cards than make a call or send a text. A card can be revisited and doesn’t require their immediate attention or time.
