For those things for which I might have gratitude, I feel deep sadness that I am alone, unable to share with him. His death overwhelms everything else. I wonder if it’s possible to be grateful and sad, both at once? 0 Reply Malag2 months agoMalagWhen I am present I could allow a moment to appreciate what I notice. 1 Reply Don Jones2 months agoDon JonesI have sat quietly in my garden for the last 30 minutes – just noticing. The beautiful spring blooms, the vegetables striving towards their harvest, the busyness of the bees, the gracefulness of the butterflies and the birdsong. Just beautiful. 3 Reply Linda2 months agoLindaI am going to visit a friend (socially distanced, of course) and I always feel grateful for her wisdom and her excellent listening skills. 3 Reply Maeve2 months agoMaeveBeing thankful for my living-space and my sunny room. Being thankful for my health, for having access to the outdoors, and especially thankful for nature. By planting bulbs today and taking a bike ride in Concord. By talking to people I want to be in touch with, with whom there is mutual respect, affection and encouragement. 4 Reply Zenith2 months agoZenithBy being kind to myself which I frequently forget. Being kind to others which I am improving on. By simple acceptance of anything positive that comes my way. By having the humility to maintain high standards in all I do and all I touch. 5 Reply GCharlotte2 months agoGCharlotteThis morning I felt thankful.for the help offered me so I followed in that direction learning more about it. I decided to be amongst a community if I am accepted. 3 Reply Patricia2 months agoPatriciaI will make my gratitude to others known, expressing appreciation and building up, lifting up others. 4 Reply Trish2 months agoTrishBe intentional in all that I do. I’m easily distracted & that doesn’t promote gratefulness. When I study, I’m going to immerse myself in the beauty & wisdom of the words. When I prepare a special meal for my sweetheart, I will focus on the textures & smells & colors of the ingredients and prepare with love. When I connect with people I love today, I will offer my whole self. So much to be grateful for🌻 5 Reply Ed Schulte2 months agoEd SchulteTHANK YOU! In the day to day world of the over use of the trendy word “mindfulness” it becomes lost and devalued and not much more then another “selling spirituality” trick . Your “intentional -ity” as expressed in words, is the very much as so many of those called **”Mystics”** encouraged the human race to apply ..to itself. So Thanks again! ** but in fact those attained ones never referred to themselves as “Mystics” or “Enlightened Ones” ** 5 Reply Trish2 months agoTrishThank You, Ed. It’s important to live our truth in as many ways as possible. It’s very challenging…. 4 Reply Ed Schulte2 months agoEd SchulteVery true but ALL iIS within the Divine Plan. “challenges are here to waken you and even if you are awakening, [even then ] life continuously gives you challenges and then the awakening accelerates and deepens” ECKHART TOLLE 6 Reply Trish2 months agoTrishYou are a true friend to me today, Ed. 4 Reply devy2 months agodevyBy being thankful for what I have, for being alive and enjoying what life has to offer and opportunity to experience it even with all its challenges. As in today’s quote, not allowing others or outside forces dictate your emotions. We control emotions, outside forces cannot make one feel a certain way. 4 Reply Melissa2 months agoMelissaToday, I can be thankful for the resources I have, and use that gratefulness as a way to remind myself to give grace for those who may not have similar resources to me. May I remember the importance of giving back, and revel in the joy of life. 4 Reply Ed Schulte2 months agoEd SchulteYou have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.[AND therefore Gratitude for what is.] MARCUS AURELIUS 5 Reply kimthompsen2 months agokimthompsenRight now, we are going through a rough patch. I am also grateful that he knows he can rely on me to back up any decisions he has to make or to provide any assistance he needs. Today, I will try not to focus on what my sister can’t do, and instead be grateful that I have an opportunity to live my authentic self. While I have plenty of work to do in my life, my main job is to share light and love, so I pray every day to do my part to make this world a better place. I’m grateful for this day and look forward to all that it holds. 4 Reply Antoinette2 months agoAntoinetteMuch like today’s quote says- I can only control my own mind which means I can choose how to respond. I’m grateful for this day. I have an opportunity to live deeply in the present moment and I’m happy. Happy weekend friends! May you all be well and may you all be free from suffering. 5 Reply Michele2 months agoMicheleI can embody grateful living today by doing the mundane house and yard chores. My lawn needs mowing and it’ll most likely be the last time for the season. I’m very grateful for my house. 6 Reply Kevin2 months agoKevinBy being grateful for the life that I am living! 6 Reply Ose2 months agoOseI will be grateful while walking today, tenderly trying to be gratefully present with every step i take, for the many blessings in and around. Generosity, inclusiveness, welcome, and integrity in my behavior. Patience and acceptance. If any casual passerby were to notice me, nothing I was doing would be disharmonious with these. I say IF, because in fact, it is best if all of these were done so subtly that it wouldn’t stand out as much as infuse the general atmosphere with peace. 3 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
