Nowadays, it’s difficult to find a friend on whom you can rely. Not just on good days, but also on bad. 0 Reply Ose3 months agoOseListening better and respond from my heart, let aside fear and go with the flow. As Don Jones and Ed mentioned, be in connection with His Light and Love when doing so. Thank you for your contributions today, dear friends. 3 Reply Don Jones3 months agoDon JonesAt our centre is this fantastic resource. In the Upanishads of India, again and again they say, what we are at our centre is the Source of all things. The Source of all things is concealed at our very heart and centre. The art of life is to connect up consciously with this fantastic Resource. The Buddhists say the same, in other tones of voice. They call it our Buddha-Nature. Remembering or reawakening to what is already there is what nourishes. 3 Reply Hermann-Josef3 months agoHermann-JosefThat which is the source of all things is what nourishes. 🙏 thank you 2 Reply Antoinette3 months agoAntoinetteToday I was fortunate enough to have participated in one of my dear friends sons confirmation festival. I made a cheese cake for the event and attended with love. I’m grateful to be invited to such an event and I try to nurture all the people I meet to the best of my abilities. Happy Saturday friends! 3 Reply VicValz213 months agoVicValz21I can better nurture the things i treasure by not just throwing them out whenever i get upset. With my experience , i threw out some pretty special things that could’ve helped me today. With opportunities i cant help the fact that im always gonna ignore it because sometimes i dont want the best for me. I want to fix that but to me just the thought seems corny and stupid. So in time maybe i can succeed. 1 Reply Hot Sauce3 months agoHot SauceI can better nurture the people I treasure by showing care and compassion for all the students I encounter in my new substituting job. I can better nurture my knowledge (a thing I treasure) by remembering to use every moment in life as an opportunity to learn something new and interesting. 2 Reply Chester3 months agoChesterRemeber to place first things first and take the time to consider each person’s individual need – not just what I think they need. 1 Reply Ed Schulte3 months agoEd SchulteKeep the Rosy-white light emanating from the heart centre bright and flooding the earth and everyone in it with Logic Love. 3 Reply Ose3 months agoOseDear Ed, may I ask please, what is Logic Love??? 1 Reply Ed Schulte3 months agoEd SchulteCertainly Ose: The Love of ……and this is the descriptive of “Logos” “Manifestation of Absolute Beingness; ( aka God ) Son of God; Divine Common Selfhood; the ‘Word’ as identified by St. John: And I will add one more ……the Christ-hood of every human being……which is as…. with Don Jones contribution ( above ) “They call it our Buddha-Nature. Most of all, I smile at as many people as possible. I write a column that I humbly hope ‘nurtures’ those I know and do not know. I watered my orchids that have stopped blooming at this time of year. But it was soothing for them since they were very, very dry. Today another bud appeared! A miracle for me 🌺 🌸 🌺 . 4 Reply Mary Pat3 months agoMary PatAs with everything, by slowing down and paying attention. Giving my full attention to things and people nurtures things like my seedlings, my plants, animals, and people. Continuing to rush around does not. 6 Reply Michele3 months agoMicheleI already do:) One area I take pride on. Have a wonderful weekend everyone😊 PS for Samuel- today is Nat’l Oatmeal Cookie day! I still have your recipe.. I need to make em. 5 Reply Antoinette3 months agoAntoinetteNo way ! Yummy 🤤 1 Reply Javier Visionquest3 months agoJavier VisionquestTo include oatmeal, walnut, raisin? I’d totally jack my A1c for a couple of those! 2 Reply Hermann-Josef3 months agoHermann-JosefIn my view it is not so much in doing something but in letting the things be done. The best thing is to go out of the way and giving body and mind to the almighty. He is nurturing the best way possible. There is a danger in thinking I am the giver, lover and so on because we might hope for a response according to that which we gave. The only thing which I have is my ego. To whom shall I give it? The rest is all his. But on an other level gratefulness makes a treasure out of almost everything. So...In my view it is not so much in doing something but in letting the things be done. People, however, I do nurture, in various ways depending on the nature of my relationship with them, just as they also nurture me. However, nurturing others ought not to be about performance, or measured by “how much,” but rather, in simply being present one person to another, listening, caring, and as way opens, taking action. Personally, I am at peace with my level of nurturing others. 5 Reply sunnypatti3 months agosunnypattiI don't think I need to better nurture them. I think I'm doing a great job at that. My exact thoughts. Sounds like you don’t need the practice to do this, and I still do, but everyday is a new beginning…begin again and again….nice to know I have more than one chance….blessings to you. 2 Reply Iamme3 months agoIammeI think we all need the new beginning each day brings in terms of learning and growing and maintaining. The frantic and sometimes unexpected busy-ness of daily living gets in the way and blinds us momentarily from paying attention and being in the moment and we become reactive by which I mean acting without thinking first. I’m repeatedly learning how to bring myself back into the present whilst swimming against the tide of daily work deadlines, time pressures and unexpected events. 1 Reply Mary Pat3 months agoMary Pat!Amen to that! 1 Reply My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
