LOL. I know it drives them crazy sometimes, so I think I’ll working on cleaning it just a little today. I have other things to do, so I probably won’t finish today, but I can at least start on it. 6 Reply Linda6 months agoLindaBy looking inward. I spend a lot of time looking outward. Anyway, today I helped him with morning medicines, took him to an appointment for a “serious” test and will take him to another appointment and then home. All of this while I help to manage my 95 year old mom and put my whole life, back on the West Coast, on hold. I am thankful I can be here for him and I pray daily for love & support for me. “Hold me up dear Lord, please.” Read More11 Reply Michele6 months agoMicheleYou are an example of service. You are caring for your brother and your mom. I hope you are cared for too. Remember to care for yourself so you don’t easily get burnt out. 0 Reply Ose6 months agoOseMy prayers are with you and your brother Kerry, your mom and all your family, dear pkr. What a kind gift 1 Reply Michele6 months agoMicheleAs a mom, I make sure to keep in touch with my children and always let them know how much I love them. I can offer a smile and pleasant greeting to anyone I pass on my walk. I can be a good listener. 8 Reply Zenith6 months agoZenithI have no idea. Continue my practice of gratitude because the disconnect between what is and what can be is so very great. 4 Reply Mica6 months agoMicaMe too- I’m coming up with a blank, so I figured I’d just see what others are saying. 1 Reply 6 months agojust to continue the little steps toward my vision, true to my values. and to nurture awareness towards all sentient beings I encounter todsy so I might be able to respond to their needs wisely. Not sure how to take your response. 3 Reply Javier Visionquest5 months agoJavier VisionquestA wave of strong thunderstorms rocked the NoVa on the afternoon of the Daily Question concerning trees and some big limbs and trees came down in the ‘hood (Irony much?). Fortunately no one was hurt and the damage (other than to the trees) was minimal. Lots of chainsaw work to be done, though. Vroom! Vroom! Thanks for asking after me, Michele. 0 Reply Sheeren6 months agoSheerenActually, i can’t really understand this question. But i think the way to answer it never end in word. So,i want to do three things for others today. 1.i share these questions to my friends, and i want to update for 3 days to spread this energy. 2.i want to be of service to myself,i want to tell myself, it’s ok to have a rest, slow is another way to be fast, and i love you so much. 3.i want to connnect with the child in poor area to share my energy to him. 5 Reply Judith6 months agoJudithGladys Taber, who wrote during the dark days of the ’50s when nuclear war was feared, once wrote something that has stayed with me. “I cannot possibly impact what is happening on the world level, but I can make the place where I am just a little better this day.” I can do that. I discovered Taber’s writings a few years ago. They are homey, peaceful reflections that have really helped during this pandemic. 11 Reply KC6 months agoKCJudith, Thank you so much for sharing these thoughtful words, and for introducing Gladys Taber. Her writing sounds kind and gentle! Warmly, KC 1 Reply sparrow6 months agosparrowI feel this way too, dear Judith…♥ 1 Reply Trish6 months agoTrishReminding myself, “it’s not about you” is helpful. I can get caught up in my reactions & lose focus on what’s truly important. Allowing myself to be in the moment, staying present to the world in front of me is crucial. There are countless opportunities to be of service. Today I’ll remind myself, “it’s not about you” & get to work. 7 Reply sunnypatti6 months agosunnypattiBy setting an example of groundedness and peace of mind, gifts I have so graciously been guided to by others and my Higher Power. By being the light. By sharing kindness and love. And by being conscious of others by wearing a mask if I go out in public ? 5 Reply Judith6 months agoJudithSo true! Bless you, sweet sunnypatti. 0 Reply Howie Geib6 months agoHowie GeibWear a mask. Social distance. Constantly spread the word and promote good, using words only when absolutely necessary (a la St Francis)…play a long game, meaning in my interactions don’t create situations I will regret. Patience and generosity as a posture to hold throughout the day. Ease other’s loads. Listen. Smile from the heart. The rest I will figure out as I go along. 5 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
