From gratitude grows generosity and from generosity grows happiness, equanimity, joy, and love. Let me touch this with deep gratitude and pass it on! 2 Reply Hot Sauce1 year agoHot SauceEverytime I get to see my animal friends, I am happy again. Even if it’s a rough patch, I at least tend to have laughter through tears because of them. I always feel grateful when touching them or working with them because they are compassionate, kind, and caring creatures who show their loving essence without fear. 4 Reply Ose1 year agoOseGratefulness and being happy usually goes alongside, nourishing each other. Today I felt deeply happy for the ones who finally will succeed in publishing their precious work of many years for the benefit of many and I felt gratefulness, even more so because it seems it will be well appreciated. So grateful to see their work for the sake of many starts blossoming to the outside world. So happy and grateful that finally a wonderful door seems to open ?Congratulations to the ones concerned! 6 Reply Wiltrud1 year agoWiltrudWhenever it made me change my perspective, mood, behaviour… 4 Reply KC1 year agoKCWhen I consciously choose to be grateful, my energy shifts to a more positive, healthy and life giving place. 7 Reply pkr1 year agopkrEach and every day……? 6 Reply Alsa1 year agoAlsaGratefulness makes me happy because it’s core essence is abundance rather than lack. I have been enjoying nice late summer weather on my mountain bike. Cheers! 3 Reply Tom1 year agoTomI have opened myself to happiness when I have taken to the time to be grateful for and notice the little things in life that are offered each day. A brief time to relax, the change of seasons, taking the time to meditate. When I am watchful I recognize that gratitude, happiness and love come from within. It is not necessary, often unwise, to look for them elsewhere. 7 Reply GCharlotte1 year agoGCharlotteEveryday being grateful has made me happy for that that I have such as my support like family, faith and God while too my life. 4 Reply Beachnik1 year agoBeachnikI am always grateful for the positive energy that gratitude gives. It becomes a way of life. Someone said “you can be sad because rose bushes have thorns, or you can be grateful that thorn bushes have roses.” Gratitude is a habit, a choice. There is always going to be negativity around us and we do have to be realistic, but there also is always something beautiful to be grateful for. 5 Reply Carla1 year agoCarlaEach & every time I practice a grateful heart, a happy smile ripples forward 4 Reply Journey1 year agoJourneySomeone said ‘what you focus on grows’. I start the day with this website and find myself coming to Gratefulness.org a few times a day to read the questions, responses and messages and I feel happy, grateful and connected each time. When I am grateful, I feel a smile within, a sense of peace and calm and remind myself not to be irritated by small things. 8 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaWhat a wonderful saying: ‘what you focus on grows’. SO worth remembering! Thanks and virtual hugs! 3 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleBy incorporating gratefulness.org as my daily routine has made me happy. I enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Like others have said, knowing others have it worse, makes me very grateful for what I do have. 3 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelBeing grateful is always a happy experience for me. It is usually a shared happy experience as pointed out by ELSE PANNEK in the previous page. Sometimes, though, I admit that it is difficult to maintain a grateful attitude in the midst of some less than pleasant experiences. It is then that I struggle to recognize that, no matter what unpleasantness my instant problem entails, I really am blessed because my circumstances could be so much worse. I admit that I can be tempted to play the “victim card” and fuss and complain but I also know that such carrying-on is a waste of time and energy. The only thing accomplished is to make me feel worse. So I try to maintain an “Attitude of Gratitude” instead. Makes me feel better. Also makes me a much more pleasant person to be around for others… sb Read More6 Reply MagPi1 year agoMagPiEvery morning when I open my eyes… 4 Reply Sarah1 year agoSarahGratitude always makes me happy, yet I especially am aware of its power when I consciously feel the shift from negative thinking to gratefulness.
