It is in nature, listening and watching the clouds, the birds, the trees and grasses that connect me to God who is in everything we are given. 1 Reply Tahsin Tabassum9 months agoTahsin Tabassumwhere I was strength-less 1 Reply Sue P9 months agoSue PStrength ultimately comes from within, but it got there through the love of others 1 Reply Jennifer O.9 months agoJennifer O.From God, the sun, water, from friends from meditating on good things; from meditation, yoga and stretching and being in tune with my body and keeping it flexible and hydrated. Meeting my mental , physical , social spiritual and emotional needs as often and as possible as I can. 1 Reply Malag9 months agoMalagFrom the talents I have to work with. They were born to me but I can choose to use them or not. I choose in particular to lean on persistence. It’s a dogged talent and makes remarkable change happen to me over the long term (it’s not for quick results). 2 Reply Annie9 months agoAnnieI can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I draw my strength from God. He is my rock and my refuge. Spending time each day reading scripture, and talking to my Lord God Jesus ..without Him I can do nothing. I draw strength from all the wonderful things He created….I especially love the ocean, the flowers, trees and so much more. He is present in all these things He created for us. God is love! 3 Reply reality9 months agorealityHaving had my assets and as liquidated already by them, I can’t draw strength; for there’s nothing to keep it in my body, away from the ‘suck’- if I drew it anyway 🙂 reality 1 Reply Jennifer L. The ripples and the waves coming into shore engender a sense of peace and calmness that is not present in my everyday life. I also draw strength from poetry. Poetry fills me up with wisdom, acceptance, and a sense of community that is healing for me during the stressful times in my life. Last but not least I draw healing from my higher power which is the most powerful source of all. I draw strength from knowing that I am a wonderful creation who is capable of great things and learning about the seen and unseen that can expand my knowledge and spiritual self. 4 Reply Ed Schulte9 months agoEd SchulteFrom the First of Seven Promises which I make to my Self many times a day. “I promise to my Self to serve at all times and all places Absolute Being-ness to whom I wholeheartedly belong.” Any “”drawn strength”which I gain from this promise is entirely dependent on my present-day- personality’s senserity / honestly accepting what IS given / and love for the Logos and Holy Spirit, ( aka Divine Grace of the Absolute Being-ness ) 6 Reply Ose9 months agoOseThank you, Ed. From Mother Nature and all the big beautiful trees I am surrounded by, especially the Redwoods, so majestic and magical. 3 Reply 9 months agoFrom that very place in my heart where I find calm and peace, where I can affirm: “I feel well”. And from many examples, people I know, stories and musics I listen to and I like, landscapes that I see and carry deeply in my heart. 1 Reply Linda9 months agoLindaFrom my husband, who endures more pain than a human being should. He is quiet, kind and grateful in his daily life which soothes me, too. 2 Reply Mica9 months agoMicaIve been drawing strength from Spirit Rock in this new ‘zoom’ era. It’s outside my wussy driving range, but I can go to their meditations and learn about their programs now that everything is online. 2 Reply Chester9 months agoChesterCultivating physical strength provides a useful model – by doing, by breaking down, by resting and building up; and doing it again. The From where is everywhere. 1 Reply Rachel9 months agoRachelFrom the hard workers of hope all around me who model in their daily acts that living into grace is a choice. A choice available to me each and every day. 2 Reply Gerry9 months agoGerryAfter a lengthy journal conversation with myself on this subject, I draw strength from not knowing, from discomfort. I asked myself the question, ” Is gratitude merely a salve for discomfort?” And the answer came to me: “Of course, it is.” It soothes us in our place of not-knowing, as we ready ourselves for the next step in our evolution. Accepting discomfort, being grateful for it, and knowing it is a motivator towards something better gives me strength. 3 Reply Michele9 months agoMicheleMy strength comes from inner strength, nature, and this website. 5 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
