For the quiet voice growing in my heart, the more I practice being thankful and mindful. For wise and compassionate voices the world over. 3 Reply jeepster391 year agojeepster39Honestly, lately my own voice. It has been buried deep inside under layers of shame, busyness, "other's" expectations, depression/anxiety, and a genuine ignorance of even how to hear my own inner voice. I'm discovering meditation, journalling, and self compassion and it feels so good! I also have to express my gratitude to the best counselor I've ever had, David Lechnyr LSCW, and to my husband of 25 years for always being a voice of optimism and to my friends who teach me something about life...Honestly, lately my own voice. Those reaching out anonymously however they can. Those seeking to elevate rather than diminish. Those filled with humility. 11 Reply BabaYaga1 year agoBabaYagaI am grateful for the voices of public officials and others in Canada who are giving sound, evidence-based leadership to flatten the transmission curve for COVID-19. I can't thank them enough. It must be a stressful and trying time, especially for our front-line health care workers and our elected officials. And, yesterday, 100 top business leaders issued an open letter confirming that our collective responsibility is to work to stop the spread of the virus. God bless them all. I am assuming it is God, my guide, and I find it in times of stillness but I am working to find in during meditation. This occurs mainly when I wake from sleep and can’t fall back. I am usually ridden with anxiety during this time and do some deep breath work to calm myself and fall back asleep. It is at this time that somehow I find calmness and answers. 7 Reply Ingrid1 year agoIngridThe voice of community; the collective voice. Just as a chorus of birds wakes me on a spring morning, I revel in being part of the whole of humanity. We all don’t need to sing in tune or even in harmony but we all need to participate in the production. 6 Reply Linda1 year agoLindaOur grandson flew home from NYC where he lives, to be with us for the next few weeks. He is a very wise young man, already taking care of things like cooking and shopping so we won’t have to go out as much. His voice is reassuring and confident–we are fortunate to have him here. 6 Reply Katrina1 year agoKatrinaThe Voice of the Holy Spirit daily; the voices of mentors, parents, and family who shared the voices of ancestors, family history, love, and personal and professional formation; the voices of women speak truth to power and help me speak my own; the voices of color who give diversity the richness of our world; the voices of children who speak wisdom through innocence, and and leadership through creativity; and the voices of my best friends, who know when to speak and when to listen. 3 Reply KC1 year agoKCGood morning /day / evening all, I am with Kevin, Sarah, Angela and I am guessing many, many more. When I am quiet and still enough, get out of the way and truly listen, spirit is always there/ here, and seemingly always has been. I am very grateful for all of the people, communities, situations and experiences that have led and continue to guide me back to the ‘Great One’ (yes, even greater than Wayne Gretsky in his day …) My parents, grandparents, guardian angel aunt, partner and extended family and friends are the main ones. The list goes on. Mother Nature too! I walked yesterday in a rural part of our urban city which has more horses than people. I do not know horses at all, but may return to slow down and listen more. The one I met up close was a beauty! I have little idea what he was thinking or saying, but his energy was very gentle. So many opportunities and invitations now to hear more wise and subtle voices … Many thanks to the gratefulness.org community for this site and all who connect here often. What a gift you are. With gratitude and much love for the moments , challenges and adventures of your day, KC Read More3 Reply angela1 year agoangelafirst and foremost, i’m very thankful for God. i’m a christian and i have learnt many things through God’s servants. without His voice to guide me every day, i will definitely be left clueless and confused. knowing He’s watching over me gives me a sense of security because i’m always reminded of His goodness. although not everything goes the way i want it to, i know God has great plans!! 3 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
