My first cup of coffee, the first light of day, being in my own home, being alone, being with friends, sharing my garden, feeling the earth beneath my feet and knowing that my feet know where to go. 10 Reply DeVonna1 year agoDeVonnaGood Morning, Friends… I’ve been off the internet for the past week because I’ve been traveling to Michigan to see our family. This morning I am reveling in simple things like, sitting with my coffee in my favorite chair and reading my devotions. Being HOME is wonderful. I love my children and grandchildren with all my heart but Home is where I feel comfortable. 11 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleWelcome back! And also being able to live a healthy life and have the resources that I’m blessed with. 9 Reply Olga1 year agoOlgaWaking up beside my husband this morning with the strong rains pounding on the roof. Hearing a cacophony of sounds above the rains – Pikoy the parrot’s squawking, the dogs barking and the cats meowing eager to be let out. It is a new day! 10 Reply Trish1 year agoTrishSeeing the faces of people I love. There’s something so special about the unique facets of each face & I adore each one. The dog will bolt thru the yard for what seems like no reason, running full speed, and then plop down in a random spot and start rolling on his back. These all offer me joy. Along with so many other things – the beach, the first sip of coffee in the morning, listening to a meditation and then coming here to contemplate and share, tasting a new cheese or one I haven’t tried in a while, being present with loved ones. I’ll end there 🙂 Read More14 Reply Michele1 year agoMicheleHopefully you don’t have any bufo toads -we hear about these on the news from time to time down here in Florida. They are poisonous and can cause significant toxicosis in dogs. 0 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioOh, don’t end! Those were so lovely!!!! I sometimes wonder what a tree has seen, too. There are two on my property that may be older than my house, and my house is old (1894). Lovely, Sunnypatti! 4 Reply sunnypatti1 year agosunnypattiWe have a giant pecan tree in our back yard, and she is the most beautiful tree. Obviously very old, and has produced no fruit since we found our property almost 2 years ago. We've lived out here just over a year now. She is close to the old horse stall that came with the property, and I imagine that she and the horses had a lot of fun here! The energy on this land is incredible. Our house is new, but it's soul is old! Just living out here in the country brings me joy. I LOVE old homes... bet ...We have a giant pecan tree in our back yard, and she is the most beautiful tree. The sight of a hawk perched above the roadway. The smell and feel of clean sheets. All in the process of daily life. A life lived. 8 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioI’m with you on pen and paper, Lol! 🙂 3 Reply Trish1 year agoTrishClean sheets💚 5 Reply Christine1 year agoChristineIn a lot of things. Microworld, gardening, looking at trees, a smile from a stranger, a postcard from a friend, fresh bread with dutch old cheese, memories of my dear Karel. And this is a new joy; I can play a little flute, not very well. Now I recently discovered on you tube play along classicical music for the flute. On YouTube you can also decrease the speed of the playback time. I have a lot of fun in my living room with a whole orchestra and I am the flutist. 13 Reply Mary Pat1 year agoMary PatMy husband is from The Netherlands, and he loves his Dutch Old Cheese with fresh bread as well!
