This is a daily occurrence for me. 3 Reply Ney10 months agoNeyEvery time I get a good night’s sleep and after meditating! 3 Reply Rose10 months agoRoseI experience gratitude in my body as a warm expansiveness in my heart and a tingling, activating, spaciousness and uplifted feeling through my whole upper body and head. The last time I remember feeling this strongly is when it was my birthday last week and I was receiving so many kind messages from friends and family. 2 Reply Anna10 months agoAnnaAs many other friends here, I feel gratefulness in my body when I relax. A good rest is a balm. As time passes, I relax even in circumstances that I would have never thought. I am grateful for that, and I thanks this site, the staff and you all for supporting, walking with me, giving me the opportunity to learn, to know, to practice. 5 Reply Don Jones10 months agoDon JonesI feel it is from the heart. It exudes warmth, inclusiveness, contentment, openness and love. 3 Reply Mary Pat10 months agoMary PatI think it is when my body feels relaxed. That is rare. And when I have good energy through my body, and it flows…..not sure this makes sense, but that is what came to mind…. 3 Reply dcdeb10 months agodcdebI feel relief. This usually happens when I am in nature, or have a deep conversation with someone I love, or stop and remain present in my surroundings and notice all of life’s miracles and joys happening all around me. 6 Reply Cintia10 months agoCintiaEvery night I practice my ritual: prayer, meditation, deep breathing and giving thanks to every part of my body. A mindful breath and a thank you. And the first time in the morning, before I wake up, I said: Hello body, we are alive! Thank you! Thank you! A new day has coming… here we go. 8 Reply Michele10 months agoMicheleI experience feelings of gratefulness in my body when I recognize my sense of sight, smell, taste, and hearing. Seeing beauty, smelling incredible aromas, tasting many kinds of delicious foods, and being able to hear sounds is a gift not everyone has. This is a great reminder to treasure all of them and be grateful. Thank you:) 5 Reply Mike10 months agoMikeWhenever I wake after a good night’s sleep, my body feels grateful. This morning is, thankfully, one of those mornings. 5 Reply Chester10 months agoChesterMy eyes see broadly, I hear fully, my muscles are relaxed and ready. My body is content in the moment. Just now. 6 Reply Holly in Ohio10 months agoHolly in OhioI find I am smiling more often, breathe more deeply, that my shoulders are down rather than hunched up and forward, and I'm more relaxed. My mind is often a little less jumpy. I've started to try to connect gratitude with my exercise, using affirmations, hoping to make it less likely that I will skip it or see it as a chore, but instead to enjoy the exercise, and that gratitude will be even more connected with my body. I last felt gratitude this morning. I get up and look out at the day, and there is always something for which to feel grateful. This morning it was the sound of school children going past my house and the familiar laughter and their voices. It was foggy this morning, which is lovely with the leaves changing to fall colors. I stepped outside briefly to dump yesterday’s coffee grounds on the lawn, and I hear the crickets still singing, and it is a comforting autumn sound. I brewed my coffee and have been enjoying it while reading the lovely posts by others here, and you made me smile with the things you share, and I feel connected, almost like there is a delicate spider web around the globe, from the Netherlands to California. After my first class back, I got present to how my body is still healthy and mobile. My immune system is still strong. I’m fit. Amidst the pandemic, I’m very thankful for my health. 6 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
