I set my intention each moment to be of service in any way and shape I can. I am grateful this thanksgiving for all of you and our space to hold each other and care for each other. Thank you for being here . 6 Reply Kevin5 months agoKevin“Attention and Integrity” are certainly desirable characteristics for engaging with the needs of others during this pandemic, but there are masses of people the world over who’s lives have been tossed into chaos and ruin, having lost loved ones, jobs, homes, and everything else. These dears souls, whose needs were immense even before Covid struck, need food, meaningful work, healthcare, a government that works, vaccines, and now in some cases, a country to call home. If my “attention and...“Attention and Integrity” are certainly desirable characteristics for engaging with the needs of others during this pandemic, but there are masses of people the world over who’s lives have been tossed into chaos and ruin, having lost loved ones, jobs, homes, and everything else. These dears souls, whose needs were immense even before Covid struck, need food, meaningful work, healthcare, a government that works, vaccines, and now in some cases, a country to call home. If my “attention and integrity” is to mean anything, never mind “the story of humanity,” I should instead be laser focused on alleviating, in whatever small way that I can, the suffering of those who are hurting in a myriad of ways right now. In the US, we celebrate Thanksgiving today. At our table midday today, covered with scrumptious food and surrounded by loving family and friends, I will be leading grace, and expressing our thankfulness for all that we have, yet always too, with a measure of remorse for the fulness of my plate. I remain thankful, and grateful, this day and every day, for the dear hearts on this forum, and for the caring good people comprising the Gratefulness Team as a whole.
