I contribute to the world by crocheting for charity. I like to knit. I contribute to the world by knitting for charity. I also work as Community Health Worker. I contribute to the world by providing care to the elderly. 0 Reply Trinity1 year agoTrinityIt needs to be my kids. Modeling the correct character in life, they can pass that on. There’s so many ways I can serve others. I just lost my son two months ago. I have a long way to go. I will get there and I will make a difference. 1 Reply Maeve1 year agoMaeveCreating beauty where I live: inside and especially, creating gardens in every one of the many rental place I have lived in the past 10 years. Teaching children for the past 40 plus years, with all my energy and affection, my determination for them to succeed, my love for books and nature, and my sense of humor. They have contributed to me in more ways than I probably realize, and I hope that I have contributed to them as well. 3 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagHumour. I can raise a smile. 3 Reply Cathie1 year agoCathieWell, covid had put a dent into assisting those in the greater community who need help, but I offer to tutor folks – usually children, sometimes adults – who cannot read, or struggle with reading, and for my “family community”, I am assisting my mother who can no longer do everything she needs just to survive on her own. 3 Reply sb1 year agosbI am a school teacher and I have always strived to not only educate “my” children academically but to help them grow as good citizens, install good values in them, encourage them to care for each other and the world – and, hopefully enable them to feel loved and valued at least while in our care. I am proud of how many of our children go on to be ambassadors, monitors, head girls/boys/school councillors etc at their next school, so, hopefully, I am doing some good! 3 Reply dcdeb1 year agodcdebI don’t do much. I’ve been quite depressed and out of it since all the restrictions and business lockdowns. But i do the best i can to maintain an attitude of helpfulness and try to pitch in whenever i can. 5 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioI hope you start feeling better, Deb. I can tell you that I have enjoyed reading some of your posts very much, and they had meaning for me. You are appreciated! 1 Reply SK1 year agoSKMy sense of humor. My dedication to friendship. It’s fun and useful, and the questions cover all areas, not just science. 3 Reply Pilgrim1 year agoPilgrimKindness & compassion. 6 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaDid you change your picture, Pilgrim, or are you another Pilgrim? 🙂 3 Reply Ose1 year agoOseYes, dear Pilgrim. It is a precious contribution of yours since I got to know you here. I do think about the needed cure for your hurting hands. May they tenderly and completely be healed. May His Love and Grace and all blessings be with you. For this I pray. 4 Reply Elaine1 year agoElaineInitiating, co-facilitating and sustaining the “friendly conversation circle” for ESL newcomers to my city. 5 Reply Toni1 year agoToniPrayer, calling the White house for environmental and other issues. They have progressed not only in reading but in their self esteem. This sets them up to give much to their community. 7 Reply Nelson1 year agoNelsonI mentor. Getting started in my profession in real estate investing is overwhelming. I can recognize new people’s overwhelm. So I proactively reach out, answer questions, make myself available, and check up on them at a later time. 4 Reply Samuel1 year agoSamuelCookies… I bake over a hundred cookies twice a week for a local food pantry to distribute with their free meals. I’m known locally as “the Cookie Man.” Pretty amazing how much delight, and gratitude, a simple cookie can generate under the right circumstances… sb 10 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioAwesome! 1 Reply Katrina1 year agoKatrinaI am a good listener. I work hard at it, I’ll admit. I work hard not to “reload”, but to just listen to what it being said. Sometimes I do have to work hard to keep my mouth shut from advice-giving and to only do reflective listening. But mostly I just enjoy or at least learn from listening to people’s life stories. And I think a lot of people need to tell someone. 6 Reply pkr1 year agopkrBeing kind, shining my “light”, offering prayers & blessings, saying Thank You, serving others. 6 Reply Helly1 year agoHellyPrayer seems to be the one thing I am able to do matter how bad pain is or how grumpy and out of sorts I get. When I get so frustrated with how little I am able to do I remind myself that praying for people helps them ( and me!) 13 Reply 1 2 Next » My Private Gratitude Journal Write an entry in your private gratefulness journal Get Started This site is brought to you by A Network for Grateful Living, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
