It matters because when you’re in that state you don’t take things personally, you go with the flow and that energy spreads to those around you. 3 Reply SK1 year agoSKI am called to stop, look, listen. feel. and appreciate no matter what the current circumstances. I am called to breathe slowly and know that each breath is the ultimate gift for that day. I am called to look at everything every day and know that God has blessed me with so much abundance that i can scarce take it all in. I am called to let my heart burst with joy. It matters because that’s what gets me through my day. 3 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagI am called to be more present-moment oriented and in appreciating what is around me I inevitably care more. And in caring more I might take more action to care for what I appreciate. At the small level it could be finding those opportunities for silence. On the big stage it’s the future of the planet’s species including our own. 5 Reply Elaine1 year agoElaineEvery word, every gesture, every intention, every thought, every prayer of gratitude is important. It all matters. 7 Reply Hot Sauce1 year agoHot SauceWhen I live gratefully, I feel called to appreciate every moment in life for the wonder that is truly present all the time. Above all the noise and tumult of our lives, the beauty of galaxies and stars hovers above our busy lives, and the moon and sun remain in the sky, regardless of what we’re going through. This matters because it can be difficult to see beauty when we’re stuck in our own hectic lives without paying attention to the wonder all around us. 5 Reply Ose1 year agoOseIt is an invitation to wholeheartedly care about everything and everyone, including animals, nature and all which is. To do what is necessary to protect or support others, a flow of loving kindness in every direction, which I feel is a base for the flowering of all. 6 Reply Malag1 year agoMalagThanks Ose. That hits where I was trying to get to. 3 Reply hellokasi1 year agohellokasiWhen I live gratefully, I am called to indulge in sensory experiences, live mindfully, and flow with calm content. Gratefulness is one of the answers to my anxiety (along with physical exercise and meditation). 7 Reply Don Jones1 year agoDon JonesSlow down… linger a little longer in the little moments of this life… notice more, open up and appreciate, become more available. It opens up a compassion for everything around me. 6 Reply nadders1 year agonaddersI am called to ‘pay in forward’, to be actively and proactively kind. It matters as hopefully these behaviours will inspire others to be kind to others. It may engendour respect and trust in others. 4 Reply Joanders1 year agoJoandersSeems to be called to be humble. See yourself as dependent or connected to something other. It matters as a vast opportunity presents itself. . 5 Reply Linda1 year agoLindaI am called to be caring and kind to others. To avoid talking about others, and complaining about minor things. I have so much to be grateful for when I remember to focus on that. 6 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaI’m called to keep my mind from rehashing negativity of the past. 7 Reply Michele1 year agoMichelegood one. 3 Reply Mica1 year agoMicaThank you, Michele – [it’s a ‘slow news day’ today]. 1 Reply seashell1 year agoseashellBe fully alive, sensory awake, caring to all. 5 Reply Lauryn1 year agoLaurynPay attention to the details. Slow down. Think about your intentions, your thoughts, the words you speak. Notice the less obvious. It matters because so much of the time energy gets misdirected and mishandled. Things we think are super important really aren’t. 7 Reply Javier Visionquest1 year agoJavier VisionquestTo share I’m not always confident that what I share does matter and maybe whatever doubt I have about it ought not concern me, either 8 Reply Holly in Ohio1 year agoHolly in OhioGive it time, Javier. Keep practicing gratitude. I find the daily question helpful, but I also use the Private Journal feature and think of three things each day for which to be grateful. Gratitude practice like physical exercise, you have to keep showing up, like you have, but it doesn’t happen quickly, but over time. You are grieving and have had other challenges this year, and sometimes this may affect what you see or how confident you feel, but your life and how you choose to live it, does matter. It matters to you, but also, it matters to us. You have gifts to offer this world. Peace and love to you, Javier. We are all family. We are all connected. 6 Reply Carol1 year agoCarolThe sharing this morning is so overwhelmingly beautiful and helpful. As I read each post, I realized the importance of remembering that life is about relationship. How I relate to myself, to you, to my environment, matters. Richard Rohr says, “God is a verb called relationship more than a noun called monarch.” When one lives gratefully, it’s hard to objectify any one or any thing. Being grateful, makes all things relatable. 9 Reply Maeve1 year agoMaeveWhen I am grateful, I can see beauty around me. It matters because it opens me to the world around me, and to my interactions with others. I notice and am awake to delight in the moment. It matters because it makes life richer and happier and And if I am happier I can spread that to everything and everyone around me. 11 Reply Carla1 year agoCarlaWhen I am on the beam filled with a grateful heart, I am directed to initiate more spontaneous random acts of kindness be it while driving & letting cars into a lane or taking an extra moment to hold a door open regardless of the age of the one behind me.
