To trust life is to become fully aware and content with of the uncertainty of it all, which is the only certain thing of life itself. How much time do we lose by agonizing over events that occurred in our past or contemplating our future years when the reality is that the present moment is the only part of life that actually exists and ever will? Living in every moment of each day has made it to where the universe reveals its magic to me in countless ways, and it’s all because I live to, well, simply live.
I would like to trust my life is moving forward with purpose. Trying to find gratefulness and joy along the way despite many challenges. I learn to pause but do not give up on the challenges that have a lot of meaning to me. I trust in God along my journey to help me find peace and hope for a better tomorrow.
by the trust the path that I have chosen even death and old age for me is impetus to going back to godhead in my next life.

I’m learning to trust this life. It’s a
process. Un-learning the habits of
Catastrophising, assuming the worst,
and not trusting in my own ability to deal
with the challenges that are inevitable.
Trusting this life, means being present
and in this moment with gratitude.
Happy summer solstice to all of you.
When I realized that Life is trustworthy, I realized that I am trustworthy because I am Life. We all are life. Franciscan Richard Rohr often says, “We offer our prayer together in all the Holy Names of God.” He’s not preaching or teaching dogma. He’s honoring and claiming the wisdom of all paths that lead this Life we share to fruition and promise. This site is a perfect example of caring and sharing our one Life. Breathing in and breathing out this infinite spirit that our finite mind cannot define. This Breath of Life is calling us all forth to honor and embrace hundreds of years of evolutionary experience and growth. It is doing its best to assure us that if we are willing to evolve as a species, we will be shown a way. When I read the story of creation from various religious disciplines I always come away forsaking victimhood. There is no “Why me?” There is only “May I learn from this situation and not turn it in to a problem. Life, for me, is trustworthy. When I do not fight, flee or freeze, it takes my hand and leads me. May I always be willing to let it flow and let it go when the time comes.
Trust is a reciprocal process where the other party in the relationship earns my commitment and respect by showing me the same. Life (the universe, etc) has done that often enough that I can lean into trusting it.
Trusting Life is accepting that everything is just as it is supposed to be; including two brothers recently diagnosed with CA (cancer) and a questionable GYN visit for myself last week. And soonest I can have an evaluative test isAug 1. Julian of Norwich said it best “all shall be well, in all manner of things …” (paraphrased)
For me it means to accept what is happening in my life right now, whether mundane or life altering. Trusting life means not trying to escape or avoid the aspects of it that hurt, or cling to what makes me happy. The aim is to let life flow through me, as best I can. If life offers joy, I want to feel it to my bones, knowing that that joy is fleeting. If something painful occurs, I must try to heal. Avoidance will only prolong the hurt. In a nutshell, trusting life means being present for all of it.
To me to trust life means to be “all in”…Show up, live, enjoy and embrace all that I can…Just Be! Also…to let life happen; I cannot control everything (hard concept for me). And I trust being here with all of you each day…thank you.
To be in the present with whatever might be. To recognize, allow, investigate, nurture. RAIN, a concept I first heard from a talk by Tara Brach. If I can fully trust life, I can be happy without seeking happiness.
Thank you! How I am enjoying Tara Brach, wow! Her mindfullness practices are amzing, I finally can breath and be present. Thank you for suggesting her in a previous comment.

Joseph, that part of your post reminded me of a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt: “Happiness is not a goal; it is a byproduct.”

Needing to come back to this.

In my opinion, to trust life means to enjoy the journey along the way and to be open to new experiences.
My focus should always be on what I am able to control and not what I am not able to control.
In spite of the fact that we do our best to control as many things as we can, we cannot control all of them.
Throughout our lives, we are taught at an early age to avoid failure at all costs in order to succeed.
But failure can be a learning opportunity, and we should learn as much as we can from the experience.
It is the idea of trusting in the process of life that makes us enjoy it more.
So it doesn’t matter if we succeed or fail, if we succeed, we succeed, and if we fail, we learn something from it.
Therefore, we should trust life and enjoy it.
Trusting life to me means that the Universe is conspiring in my favor. The Universe loves Me.
Happy Summer Soltisce All….☀️✨☀️

Happy summer solstice to you too Charlie:)
Charlie, Un-learning…such a descriptive and right on expression. I love it. Also, catastrophising!

Thank you once again, Carol.
This really spoke to me.
“When I do not fight, flee or freeze, it takes my hand and leads me.”
This is a timely question! I will have to dig deep to find the well of trusting.
Trust is a reciprocal process where the other party in the relationship earns my commitment and respect by showing me the same. Life (the universe, etc) has done that often enough that I can lean into trusting it.
It means to allow, to accept, and to know that everything is happening as it should.
