What an awesome program/project! Teenage years can be such a difficult time. I was very unhappy as a teenager, even though I was in a loving home(God bless my parents for putting up with my moodiness!) and this kind of program would have been so helpful. There are great points in this for adults, too. Bless you, Amy for your wonderful, caring work and dedication. Peace and love, Sheilaπ
Dear Kristi, thank-you so much for this reminder and very beautiful reflection on Br. David’s “Stop.Look.Go” practice! As with all your writings, it touches the heart deeply! Oh, life is so very precious! Bless you. Peace and love, Sheila ππ
There are parts of my body I honestly rarely think of- liver, spleen, pancreas, gallbladder. At 65 years of age I do not take anything for granted and realize what a miracle the body is!. I have recently been watching you-tube videos of Nick Vujicic who was born with no arms and legs. He is SO inspirational and it has made me even more grateful for my arms and legs! Blessings to all, Sheila π»
Wow! I could sense everything through this video: the anguish of the whale when it was caught in the net, you could tell it knew the people were trying to help her and the pure joy and appreciation when it was finally free! That is the joy and appreciation we should all have for this precious life! What deep and tender care from all the people who saved her! Thank-you for sharing this, it is so heart-warming and beautiful! Blessings to all, Sheila π
Dear Fabiana, thank-you so much for sharing this! I have seen Mary Oliverβs name, but never knew anything about her. Such a beautiful feeling comes through her writings, that touches the heart and soul! Fabiana, your words, “the embodied sacred” caught my attention and are very helpful as a way of looking at things with reverence. Thank-you! Peace and blessings, Sheilaππ·
Dear Lisa, thank-you for sharing your story! You are an inspiration! I can relate to you, in that when I was younger I always felt I was never “enough”. Living gratefully has so profoundly changed my life! I am SO abundantly blessed! You are right, gratitude is always possible! Bless you, Lisa. Peace and love, Sheila ππ
Mahatma Gandhi said ,”In a gentle way, you can shake the world”. We each have our own unique way of serving and changing the world and the lives of others. May we all listen to our heart and do what feels right for us.
Blessings and peace to everyone, Sheilaππ
Dear Lang, thank-you so much for sharing this! It is beautiful and healing! It is snowing lightly right now and the gentleness of the snowflakes falling to the ground, has a “music” all its own! Thank-you for inspiring me to be more attuned to nature! Peace and blessings, Sheila π
Oh, I have SO many blessings to be grateful for, that it brings me to near tears. I think of all the years I was not grateful, yet God continued to shower me with an abundance of blessings! What a gift to have lived long enough to recognize all the blessings I am constantly being given and to be able to be grateful! Thank-you for this sharing! Blessings and peace to all, Sheila πππ
Dear Mark, this essay is SO touching! What a beautiful experience you had with your dear father when he was dying. Oh, how I wish I could have experienced that with my beloved parents when they were dying. Thank-you for sharing this essay! I truly don’t don’t have words to express how deeply this touched me! Bless you, Mark. Peace, Sheila π
Dear Laura, this is absolutely SO heart-warming, touching and beautiful!! You are right, that feeling you had after doing “a small gesture of kindness”, as you called it, was more precious than any wrapped package. After reading your story, I have that feeling and I thank-you from my heart! Wishing you and your family a most blessed Christmas.π With love, Sheila π
