Gratefulness
It is early evening here and this question was posed yesterday. This moment is firstly offering me a reminder that the present is what matters. This moment is reminding me of the strength and insight I draw from time spent with this community. This moment is reminding me of the benefits of a spiritual practice. This moment is offering love, acceptance, peace and gratitude.
Kevin has captured this one for me: “It’s about living simply in heart, Spirit, and space…”
For me at this time, living simply in heart and Spirit is the key. Clearing my head and my heart of heaviness and doubt. Filling the space created with love and kindness. Noticing and celebrating the small joys, bringing them into the light and allowing them to shine and to grow. Choosing to focus on the good. Choosing to live gratefully.
Living gratefully is making me less fearful. I am not there yet, there is a lot of fear to overcome and I’m still very new to the practice of Grateful Living. But there have been times, more than I could ever have expected, when living gratefully has calmed the fear. And life becomes so much more spacious. My heart opens then and all manner of things shine more brightly.
I draw so much inspiration from the natural world. Looking at the view from my windows is inspiring. It’s a pastoral scene, a valley with a lot of grass and trees, cattle at times, and a wide open sky. Standing outside I can hear the trickling water in the stream at the bottom of the valley and perhaps the call of a buzzard. Always the twittering of small birds. Before bed last night I almost missed the brilliance of ursula major, there to my right as I looked left. Gazing at the stars never fails to inspire awe and gratitude.
Oh my, yes! Thank you Kevin 😊
Elle, thank you 🙏 I needed to hear your words today 😊
Such wise words, KC. Thank you 🙏
Beautiful 😊
Ah, Mica! Thank you for sharing this 🙏
Antoinette, this is exactly what I needed today. Thank you 🙏
This is so helpful, Jules, thank you
Butterfly, that really must have been a terrifying experience. Thank you for sharing your story; you have inspired me to live with courage 🙏
Thank you for this, Antoinette. Expectations can easily derail me. There are times that I don’t realise they are there until they are not met. When I can truly let go of expectaions there is space for gratitude and all that accompanies it 🙏
Blossom, this is inspiring. Thank you 🙏
This is beautiful, Kim. You have captured the wondrous beauty of it all. I am imagining your joy at all the marvels as you step outside. We only have to take the time to notice what is all around us 😊
Ah, perfect Cintia! Thank you for reminding me of this song. It is indeed, a wonderful world! 😊🌍
Ose, this is very beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing 🙏
Elaine, you are so right. Thank you for reminding me of this 😊
Ah yes, Anna. Past patterns. You are so right. I am a work in progress on releasing mine past patterns but I am trying ❤️️
Hi Cintia! I can’t say I feel free and happy in not knowing but I do know I am happier and more comfortable with it than I was. It’s still quite new to me. I’m learning to live alongside it and accept that it’s ok. And it’s very freeing not to be focussed on answers and instead to accept what comes up and embrace it. Enjoy your day, Cintia 😌❤️️
