There is a beautiful tall regal pine tree in the park in front of my house. It has stood tall and proud for what I would guess would be over 100 years. The life coming in and out of its branches has always been something I’ve enjoyed experiencing as it is a home to so many creatures. Now, due to drought, it is dying. My heart is sad for this gentle giant and all of the trees in my area of California that are in need of water. This practice is a call to me to do more for our trees and forest...
This practice is a call to me to do more for our trees and forests to protect them from fire and early death. Any suggestions are welcome.
“Experience your own light by seeing it in others.” I feel possibility not only in my own heart and soul but emanating from others. I feel that Amanda Gorman fully made me realize this in her Inauguration Poem, The Hills We Climb. “For there is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it.”
I can’t just pick one song, so here’s a mini playlist… Beautiful Day by U2, Imagine by John Lennon, Say Hey (I Love You) by Michael Franti and Spearhead, Better Days by Ant Clemons (feat. Justin Timberlake).
