Gratefulness
Committed to daily practice of gratitude in 2021.
Some days, like today, for me, it’s like the the phrase commonly used at the end of many 12-step meetings: “keep coming back”. Even when – especially when – life is difficult, I just keep coming back. Sitting down. Clearing my mind and heart as much as I can in that moment Finding SOMETHING to be grateful for. And, no matter how difficult life is, there’s always something. At times that something seems very small compared to the difficulty of the day, but there IS always something...
At times that something seems very small compared to the difficulty of the day, but there IS always something. I savor that thing, and go back to it whenever the day seems too dark.Days like today, I have to keep coming back, and keep finding one thing, and allow that small light to be enough to get me through.
To not lose heart; to keep the faith; to trust; to not waste precious time on worry. No matter how long and dark the night may be, morning WILL come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I AM beginning anew today by committing to making specific space in my life each day to practice gratitude!
Today I am grateful for the interior nudge that prompted me to return to this resource/community to provide structure and sharing in gratitude. Thank you!
