Gratefulness

My new healthier life style is going well. I have lost weight, I am eating well, exercising very regular ly, volunteering, doing daily mindfulness, regular reflection on gratitude. And I am feeling better for it!
Erm. This is a good question. I am off work with stress. I generally feel better at the moment as I am not in work and therefore have removed the stressor. But because of this I uncertain of when I am well enough to return to work.. o think on reflection I need to trust the advice from the health professional in my life as they will have better insight into my wellness. This is a challenge for me as I like to be in control. So, on reflection, the current uncertainty in my life appears to ...

This is a challenge for me as I like to be in control. So, on reflection, the current uncertainty in my life appears to be inviting to relinquish some control and develop trust in others.
I am being bullied at work. I have recently has some very difficult interaction both with the bullies and my manager who is Handling the situation very badly. I have been using a gratitude dairy as part of my mindfulness/positive mental health strategy. It draws my attention to what is good in my life. Being grateful Hass been a success ful component back to mental well being.
I am called to ‘pay in forward’, to be actively and proactively kind.
It matters as hopefully these behaviours will inspire others to be kind to others. It may engendour respect and trust in others.
My natural state is problem solving mode, and I used to think that this an excellent mode to be in all of the time. However on reflection I have noted that the problem solving mode can often inhibit active listening. I have noted recently that people often tell you there problems, but they are not always seeking help, just someOne to listen and sympathize with them or agree with Thier feelings or actions. Infact I have noted that often trying to solve the problem they present just annoys them. So I would say what changes is my relationship with others, in a positive way.
I have always been grateful for how easily pleased I am. I am able to find moments of contentment easily. I have found that the lockdown and therefore curtialment Of activities I usually find contentment in has lowered the bar. I continue to find contentment in simple things. I enjoy clean sheet with clean PJ combo. A cold beer on a warm day, a wild swim, a walk on the beach. A cup of tea and biscuit in the garden with a friend. Long walks and the weary muscle feeling you get afterwards...

We were talking about how we had both ended up where we are now; career choices etc. We talked about the paths in life we have taken which lead us to were we are now. I explained to the trainee that I ended up in my dream career now when I failed the interview for the job I had always wanted since I left high school. I explained that I believed that so far everything in my lif...
I am going through a very difficult time at the moment at work. I went to lunch with a new trainee a few days ago. We were talking about how we had both ended up where we are now; career choices etc. We talked about the paths in life we have taken which lead us to were we are now. I explained to the trainee that I ended up in my dream career now when I failed the interview for the job I had always wanted since I left high school. I explained that I believed that so far everything in my life on was right on track and that failing to get my childhood dream job lead to: traveling internationally, meeting my husband, finding my vocation, 100os of marvelous memories and 100 of wonderful and deverse friends.
And in that moment in the staff canteen. I realised that my difficult time now is the next phase of life and it will lead to more years of wonderful memories. I just have to ride out this storm to get to experience the next period of wonderful weather.
Simple things: having a shower and then putting on clean pyjamas and get into bed with clean sheets.
