Patience. Moving beyond anything usually requires patience. This is hard for me and a constant battle on a daily basis usually. Learning to stay focused in the moment is helping.
Being grateful; take one day at a time; things happen for a reason…
I can relate to this question today as I’m going into work an hour early because we are so busy. I will remember to stop and just focus on breathing throughout my busy day.
Remembering 9/11 … I’m also grateful for being an American.
I think gratitude comes into play after a difficult situation not necessarily during. I agree with Sarah about the pause … reflection rather than reaction is needed and, I too, need to practice this sometimes.
Family, my cats, and peace. Oh, having fun, enjoying the holidays – can’t wait for Halloween!!!
By incorporating gratefulness.org as my daily routine has made me happy. I enjoy reading everyone’s comments. Like others have said, knowing others have it worse, makes me very grateful for what I do have.
By remembering daily to be grateful first and foremost, smile and remember that something wonderful will happen each day:)
I’m grateful watching/reading the news with all the relief efforts making their way down to the Bahamas right now. I’ve used this website to light a candle for them. I can’t image that kind of devastation.
I have a 6 month follow-up eye appt today so my perspective will be understanding how eyesight can change throughout the year.
Face each day. Simple as that. Many situations require courage.
What has surpassed my expectations is learning to not have any expectations or completely lower them.
Feeling gratitude is personal. Expressing gratitude is sharing with others which can then spread happiness. This website is an excellent source of expressing gratitude:)
It feels good to give:) It doesn’t matter if it’s $, time, random acts of kindness. It comes from the heart. I know communities will be giving with hurricane Dorian on the way…. fellow Floridians stay safe.
Just by being me.
Learning you have tried to do everything in a situation and then letting go is hard sometimes. The change in attitude from “I’m so depressed/hurt/angry” to I’m tired of feeling this way- change your attitude to positive thinking. I love the quote “something wonderful will happen today” 🙂
Your response resonates with me. I also lit a candle on this website. I love being able to light candles on here.
