Starting my grateful journey…
I know that I still have a lot of life to live, and I want it to be better than it has beenz
By slowing down….breathing….and trying to stay in the present as much as possible.
Today I experienced kindness from a school staff…which feel like a lot, given the year we already seem to be having.
I”ve also had incredibly thoughtful friends send cards, text, gifts- just because. My daughter is learning to be inciteful with asking for help when she sees that I’m overwhelmed. My son has moments of kindness…fewer and farther between than my daughter, but we’re getting there.
Freedom to do what I want when I want.
Peace in my home.
Peace in my heart.
Son-with a fun sleepover he’s been asking for.
Daughter-making bread-getting her permit
That’s a big question…
I stand for love. Compassion. Respect. Integrity. Progress. Kindness.
My kids…especially when they’re little. Everything seems so magical, and they’ve literally made me stop to smell roses on a walk.
I have found so much joy in birdwatching since covid came. I’m to the point of feeding hummingbirds from my hand, and they even rest on my finger at times. It is absolutely incredible and awe inspiring. I start and end my day with them.
That I can change my mindset to live a more positive and fulfilling life.
To make an effort to change my mindset/care for myself….so that I can be more present and better with my family/life.
I have managed to keep my family healthy through Covid. I am still working from home, and plan to keep it that way. I get to feed my hummingbirds every day. I am providing for my family mostly single handedly.
It will make me pause and have more empathy towards people.
I have learned ( but not yet mastered) to pause when a challenge is presented, but not react. I find that if/when I react immediately (and emotionally) to a challenge, the result is not what I’m going for. But when I pause and breathe…I am able to react more logically.
They are so blessed to have you!
