This so much reminded me of Marianne Williamson’s quote, “Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a Child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberated others.” Just as Kristi shares, “Overlooking and denying what we have is to diminish our blessings and disrespect their sources,” I suddenly feel free to acknowledge the great privileg...

Your playing small does not serve the world. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberated others.” Just as Kristi shares, “Overlooking and denying what we have is to diminish our blessings and disrespect their sources,” I suddenly feel free to acknowledge the great privileges I have had in my life. I need not feel “guilty” about the blessings that have come my way, bringing me that repleteness, which I am ever grateful for and do treasure. I have worked “long and hard“ deriving great joy and satisfaction over the “blessings” I have brought to others; the best ones being the blessings my children, students and now, grandchildren bring with generosity to the community. May this “expanding capacity” continue to grow in me, in them, and thru our small works, even more come to join in, sharing that enrichment and joy in their lives. Blessings abound.
Kristi – “All manner of things born of the Earth can awaken us to perspective. All manner of moments in Nature can offer us gratitude for life’s preciousness and remind us of our fragile and powerful bonds of connection.” I have found this to be true for me…Each day, I have been taking my morning coffee and readings outside…perspective and connection says it all to me….This “invitation” has truly spoken to me, today<3 Thank you.<...

Christopher-A resounding yes! I had double knee replacement surgery back in January, and was put on a “lockdown” to avoid post surgical infection (have a friend who went thru it, and had to repeat his surgery, so I took no chances). No sooner was I released from that lockdown, did our Coronavirus Lockdown begin. I’d not seen my kids, grands, or siblings in four + months! This was our weekend to “Socially Distance” and, albeit several feet away, be together. I am filled with gratitud...
I am filled with gratitude daily, however this….!!!!!!!! No Words. We know how to approach this successfully, now. I am so grateful for FaceTime and Zoom, a true Godsend, however…..”THIS!!!!” Ever Grateful!
Nancy, I love how the poetry inspires – and music …. I hear/feel the hymns of my youth come, and they are a comfort. The whole idea of “giving is receiving is giving,” us so evident. Thank you for the verse. It is new to me, and very beautiful. May blessings abound.
Kristi-when a “glitch” happens, I always smile, thank God, and say to myself, “Ya must need a ‘review’ on this thought!” Love and Thanks for alllll the wonderful doings at Gratefulness.org!
