I think if I am comfortable with myself, flaws and all, I would be able to encounter anyone with friendliness with a certain regard for safety.
My time, listening to others.
I am reading great thoughts from others and am writing in my journal but see that I am not really in touch with my feelings/thoughts for very long. When they occur it’s a fleeting moment. Whatever the reason I will continue to read, write and listen.
PRAY, listen to learn how TO LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR while finding behavior intolerable.
Sitting in the adoration chapel I have experienced God’s comfort and a shoulder to cry on.
I can only quote from Mother Teresa this morning, “Every act of love is a work of peace, no matter how small. If I keep her words with me during the day I can interrupt knee jerk reactions and judgement to those around me.
Moments are fleeting in my whirlwind thoughts. With ADD, fibromyalgia fog and depression out of my control, meditation is not available, but in the early mornings I can thank GOD for the morning’s weather, bird songs and the wild life in the yard during each season.
Reading Mother Teresa’s daily thoughts lets me see what’s important, ‘for a moment’.
You send me my daily messages, thank you. I have been slowly, ever so slowly moving from head to heart. You have showed me how to take it one step further. Wishing you all the best, I too am educated in public health and do recognize the importance of your endeavorer.
a wonderful insight for me this morning; to be grateful for my life, not despite my life.
I will repeatedly read your story to continue more realizations
thank you maureen
Reading again about Jean Vanier this morning, I am able to get past the horrors I’ve just read on Vatican news. Life goes on. God is with us all, thank you God.
Dear Ron, thank you, you have brightened my morning. Not only that, my heart is now and will always be so much more than a pulse beat. I know that God is always directing me but I am not always listening, but you have Him right next to you every moment. Through your story I will look for ways to use and welcome the moments of the day that are God’s gifts. Again, thank you so much. Maureen on Cape Cod.
