Gratefulness
I aim for… friendliness towards happiness, compassion towards suffering, delight towards virtue, calmness and composure toward faults.
the gift might be – the opportunity to practice patience – to build endurance – and even calmness and composure in life’s difficulties… chronically challenging situations give me time, I’d never thought of them in this way, (thank you for the question)
the ability to forgive.. to be grateful… and to see the roses among the thorns, being positive, hopeful, optimistic.
something I receive freely… feels good… it’s feels like a meaningfully experience… (if it’s I did this for you and therefore you do this for me, it feels different, but thats ok, it works, it makes the world go round)… but it feels good to give and receive in a simple way.
I can contribute by being in the “great fullness”… accepting what is… aiming to be a helpful friendly compassionate happy and calm… best wishes to all.
Arts place (position) is fundamental in life… Art is creative activity… it’s the world around me and my response… it enables change…. without it I’d be like a cold hard rock traveling through space… being the appreciator of the world enables me to create a good life… Gratefulness is key to life… (Being the appreciator is like being in the back of the car, and seeing all this life around me, being the creator is like sitting in the drivers seat and responding to what I...

the early hours of the morning… because my mind is still… the whole world feels still…
In difficult times I’ve experienced gratefulness by going for a walk… daylight… slow breathing… thinking more clearly… Thinking “at least” and not “if only” e.g. at least I’m here and not in a refuge camp, at least my loved one lived as long as they did… Byron Katie’s four questions are useful (She teaches a simple way to question our reaction to difficult experiences)… there is an ambiguity in life… Brother David’s stop, look, go, builds strength for the diffic...

Best wishes to all.
I can embrace imperfection with unconditional love. It requires unconditional acceptance of myself and others. Best Wishes to all.
meeting halfway, we have moved together with honesty and compromise knowing that all Truths are but half Truths.
I learn that not everything works out as I want it to, and thats ok.
