When I travel, and I notice how different my ways of living are from other people’s lives. It’s a good reminder to remain open minded for other people, while also appreciating other people’s cultures and my own culture as well.
Allow myself to have connections with people older than me, or outside my age bracket. Sometimes I find myself already having judgements about people who are older than me, because I think that they’re going to judge me or that they won’t understand my generation, and the things they’ve gone through. Through trying to ignore my judgements and anxieties, I can find myself making deeper connections with a wide variety of different people.
I’ve started to realize that the reason why my friends aren’t reaching out is probably because they’re scared of facing rejection like I am. I’ve been trying to reach out more to hang out with people and spend quality time with them.
