BE KIND!
Short, sweet, and to the point. Everyone needs a reminder to be kind.
I see this all the time in the simplest of forms ….a smile.😀 My favorite memory of this is when I was a server. One gentleman paid it forward and the table he paid for, paid it forward. This happened 7 or 8 times in a row. No one told them they had to continue it but they were moved to and it was an amazing story and a day I will remember forever.
I have a note on my desk that says “I HAVE to” which is crossed out and it says “I GET to” I always seem to be overwhelmed with the amount of things on my to do list each day. But really its simple. I get to go to work, I get to do the dishes, I get to go grocery shopping, I get to pay my bills etc. That mindset has changed my view immensely.
To me having honest conversations about what is important to me and saying them aloud or writing them down is helpful.
Not let the stresses of life take up to much of my time. Don’t spend time being upset or angry about the things I can’t change… instead find joy in the little moments.
My high school principal had a large impact on my life when I was talking about graduating early and that I couldn’t wait to get out of there. He looked me straight in the face and said “Never wish time away” no matter the circumstances. I have replayed that several times over in my life since that day. And he was right…. I should never wish time away.
Having thoughtful conversations with someone! Acknowledging someone’s accomplishments, saying thank you, saying hello, and the easiest is to SMILE!
Almost always it prevents me from saying something I may regret later.
Be the change you wish to see in the world.
I have part of this tattooed on my wrist as a daily reminder. You can be the change even though you are “just one person”
