Deep in thought I hear the same voice that has guided me throughout my life. I am able to evaluate what it says with better insight because of my experiences. I keep my self occupied by listening to what others say, and though I might be somewhat judgemenatal about their thoughts, I keep that to myself.
I listen. I hear. The silence is peaceful. As I sip my coffee I can hear the refrigerator. It’s steady humming is a calming sound. I hear the outside as I know there is still chaos around, things are continuing as normal. The sound of distant traffic, the sound of far off jet planes. I can begin the day now that I have said hello to familiar sounds once again.
